Semafor reports that the Washington Post’s traffic has plummeted from 24M daily visits in 2021 to just 3M in 2024. They’ve also lost more than 10% of their paid subscribers. Now they’re changing their tagline from “Democracy Dies in Darkness” to “Riveting Storytelling for all of America.”

My call to action — rather than fall for the rebrand of a company still owned by a billionaire who is censoring criticism of himself and of Donald Trump — invest instead in writers and activists funded by We the People:
