See recent news here in Virginia: U.S. Dept of Justice January 8, 2025 indictment of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center for fraud....allegedly falsifying records so they could bill millions of dollars for gynecological operations (including inducing early delivery of babies; sterilization of women) they knew were medically unnecessary.
Third: Monday is the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service.. People can find service projects online or create your own. ....something constructive to do that particular day.
WAPO is the print version of Fox News now. But I don't find lies "riveting." I quit WAPO and NYT 2 months ago and am mostly on Substack and Bluesky now, plus Ground News for ACTUAL news. So far, things are better, but not sure how I'll keep up once the orange one takes office. I remember the overload and anxiety/anger from 8 years ago.
