This is one reason why I upgraded my subscription, that you live your values even when people oppose that.

Thank you for being one of the few continuing to stand by your values. It's disgusting that those with the money and power to best influence things or at least be able to weather pressure are choosing silence or the easy route of outright enabling the propaganda

(if those with power and/or financial resources actually stood up to the pressure to make sure rights were preserved and the truth was being exposed, then people wouldn't be so misguided as to actively unsubscribe to important newsletters like yours - people would either actually know what's really happening without being fooled by propaganda or they would actually still be able to feel guilt and horror and be unable to find any stance continuing to support the Israeli government's actions remotely justifiable or defensible since the disgusting way the ethnic cleansing of the region is being covered by the mainstream news and discussed by important figures wouldn't have been desensitizing people to it while trying to rationalize something for which there is no reason)

Your work is vital and it is appreciated.

It is a shame that you are so much braver and more willing to sacrifice than those with actual means to defend themselves and with actual financial safety nets. It is a true indictment of those who attain wealth or climb any sort of corporate ladder that they are so cowardly, feeble, and morally bankrupt that so many will continue to stay silent or even peddle a watered down version of the truth because that's what's easiest when, for someone like them, the "hard way" isn't even that hard since they have the resources, the platform, the leverage that someone like those we're seeing on the front lines in this fight against tyranny simply don't have. For those people, speaking truth to power is free, for people like you, it comes at a cost, because those people can deal with a downturn/slowdown in support or profits (if they even have that kind of consequence), whereas the people like you who are actually willing to stand up for human rights feel the financial impact of losing 300 paid subscribers.

Thank you so much for your work even in these infuriating, extra complicated times in which speaking out truthfully can cost a person so much and we're seeing that those with the actual means to eat those costs lack enough moral fiber (or tenacity) to bother.

Hi Qasim. Did you ever get to read my comments? I know you have a lot on your plate, but I hope you did read them.

I am copying and pasting it here because I don't know what you see at your end.

Qasim, you are absolutely correct on your stand against the atrocities being carried out on the Palestinians. Anyone who has cancelled their subscription does not have the empathy required to be considered a humanitarian, or even a good soul. I am Jewish and I abhor what Netanyahu is doing, but then again, he is a trump fan, nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize (I threw up in my mouth a little, when I heard that), and he is not a humane Prime Minister. Continue on with all you stand for and those who are still here, subscribers, and non-alike, are behind you 1000%.

Can you check my subscription? I paid the annual subscription price I think back in April and that was recognized but today is asking me to upgrade my subscription to annual subscription. This problem was solved by other substackers by adding both of my emails which are: chrstnagurch@icloud.com and chrstnagurch@gmail.com

Thank you for all you do to promote humanity and for those reminders that remind us that “We are better together.”

Glad to be here.

Thank you for doubling down for basic human rights and for being in your former subscribers’ faces about it. Indeed, some folks just can’t handle the truth, which you so thoroughly lay out month after month, after month. Poor brain washed souls, though I hope they will not remain lost and adrift. At 81, I’m

facing my own version of rejection, from my own beloved sisters and brothers in laws, who each seem to consider whatever they read in the NYT as gospel. But like you, I will never bend a knee to injustice for anyone or anything. I will be doubling down on my subscription to “Let’s Address This”. Thank goodness for fighters like you!

Thank you for standing up and LOUDLY proclaiming the obvious TRUTH! Callous inhumanity is the opposite of what Christ and the Holy Spirit call us to. Thank you for your courageous articulation of our viewpoint.

I appreciate you standing strong in your conviction. There are far too few people choosing morality over money at this time in history.

You and Reich are my favorites -- you speak the TRUTH. I'm sorry that your lost subscribers are impacting your life, and I am proud that you are standing firm for human rights. So many are swayed by short term happenings, instead of looking at the long-range future. Palestinians need THEIR land, their home, need to eat. Israelis need their home, not stealing Gaza and other places the homesteaders want. I support Palestinians, not Hamas. I support Israel, not Netanyahu. People must learn to THINK, critically think, not react.

Maybe it is not you, but the fact that Substack platforms Nazis. If they did not, or you were on a platform that did not…

It is hypocritical of me to remain a paid subscriber on Substack under those circumstances.

Thank you for what you do, now let’s find a better venue to do it!!

Just listened to you and Wajahat Ali discuss the genocide in Gaza - and I'm ashamed of folks unsubscribing. So, I became a paid subscriber to help to make up the difference. Keep up the good fight - there are many of us senior citizens who appreciate all that you do.
