I've gotten a lot of requests for $$ from Stratton, so she may be the one I give $$ to -- I live in TX but try to give some elsewhere, to help Dems regain the House and Senate.
I have donated to Juliana Stratton before, but sent her another donation tonight after reading this. In the debate that I read about with her, Kelly and Raja I was very impressed with her answers. Before that I was undecided between her and Robin Kelly, who is our local Rep. She has done good work and sponsored some bills that were good ones. But she didn't give answers that were as good as Stratton's were. That has me decided on voting for Stratton.
Our local activist group visited Raja several times asking him to support Medicare-For-All. We brought a doctor from Physicians for a National Health Care Program to explain their program and all of the benefits. He was unimpressed. At an Indivisible candidate forum he said he is not in favor of Medicare-For-All. His donors are not in favor of the ordinary person but for billionaires!
This is why primaries matter. It’s not about vibes, it’s about votes and donor maps. If you are taking money from surveillance executives, crypto billionaires, and Trump world adjacents, at some point that stops being coincidence and starts looking like a coalition. “Pragmatic progressive” is a great slogan. The question is pragmatic for who. Deep blue states don’t have to settle for MAGA lite in a tailored suit. Follow the money. It rarely lies about priorities.
Yea, How about no. Because Robin Kelly also lobby from not only AIPAC, but also AUSD, CITYPAC, JAC, JSTREET, TPOH, & UPAC the amount of $108,872 of Lobbying. If there is anyone you need to elect over those two, it would be better to select Robert Peters for IL-02 over Robin Kelly, Junaid Ahmed for IL-08 over Raja Krishnamoorthi, Matt Conroy for IL-05 over Mike Quigley, Joey Ruzevich for IL-06 over Sean Carsten, Kina Collins, Anabel Mendoza, or Reed Showalter for IL-07 over Danny Davis, Kat Abughazaleh, Bushra Amiwala, or Mike Simmons for IL-09 over Jan Schakowsky, Morgan Coghill for IL-10 over Brad Schneider, Dylan Blaha for IL-13 over Nikki Budzinski, and Paul Nolley for IL-16 over Darin Lahore. Or choose the incumbent candidate: Delia Ramirez of IL-03. Best just to keep track on the AIPAC tracker people, and you will see who represents the working class. And hearing that Stratton is not taking AIPAC money is fine, but not answering if she is willingly to reject is another concern. Majority of the reasons why I do not trust with establishment dems.
Raja is canvassing for donations in California with a very glossy family photo. I am happy not to be taken in by his lack of substance but surprised by how pro Trump and pro ICE he is. Something didn't feel right about that photo.
He’s running ads against Stratton saying she’s pro-ICE and pro-Trump. It might be helpful to breakdown the information in those ads to help voters who are skeptical of her because of those ads.
I’m no longer an Illinois resident so I’m not as knowledgeable as I once was but thought I’d share because I just saw one of those ads today when watching a how-to video on YouTube for work.
I don’t begrudge the TikTok legislation. There were real problems. In retrospect it should have be written differently.
Dem magat!

I voted for Juliana via VBM in Madison County. Solid video calling out MAGA Raja.

Although I live in Florida I am more than happy to share this with anyone in Illinois who is eligible to vote.
Another wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The whole country is in danger of electing a MAGA aligned governor (Newsom) as president next time, unless we spread the word.

Thank you! Peorian here. I voted for Robin Kelly because my favorite trusted progressive endorsed her.

Thanks for the alert. I can’t vote but I donated to Juliana after literally flipping a coin. They both sound dependable. Good luck Illinois !
Raja is a piece of shit and Illinois knows it.
