I hope that more people realize that those who defend and fund a genocide, who simultaneously platform racists and misogynists, who do nothing to stop a fascist oligarchy from taking over the United States, are not "democratic" allies - nor even democratic - their party name notwithstanding.
We don't have a two party system in this country. When enough Americans wake up to this sad truth, and fully comprehend how we have been in thrall to the false promises of the Republicans of conservation of white cis het male supremacy, when we all start to acknowledge the lies and hypocrisies of the Democrats (who are for all intents and purposes simply the more palatable, lite beer version of MAGA) we will begin to platform and elect independent candidates and experience the real transformation needed here that most of us await.
This mass awakening to the corporate fascist oligarchy of the Dems and the Christian fascist theocracy of the Republicans is the second American revolution. I predict this revolution will NOT be violent because it will happen first in our minds, then in our hearts, then manifest in our world through the wiser choices of all those who have said: Enough with this old and dying system. There is a better more collective and just way forward for the masses of humanity.
And yet Democrats are clueless as to the reasons why people dislike Republicans and concurrently mistrust Democrats. Frankly a lot of folks will misunderstand your point when you’re basically saying let’s have a level playing field. Sad to say, most must’ve missed the literature class on irony and inference. (Btw you should add “encouraging” enormous student debt by opening up bank loans as an education funding option to Reagan’s trickle down middle class decimation. I financed my degrees through scholarships and grants and a small Pell grant. No one ever considered banks (seen as robber barons) for education money. This mysteriously happened at the same time as college costs skyrocketed. Coincidence? I agree with Detective Colombo - there are no coincidences!) Bravely written. Thank you.
I think its "interesting" that AIPAC politicians (and that is ultimately what they are) hide behind other issues, but when an avowed ANTI-Genocide candidate or spokesperson opens his or her mouth, there's one. consistent. accusation. AIPAC and other $$$$$$$$$ democrats have to go.
Well laid out, thought out and articulated. This is a great blueprint when calling out those corporate Dems whether in person, calling their office or conversing with voters…thanks Qasim
As the spineless GOP self immolates in its fascist Nat-C kkkult, Corporate Dems are moving into the right-of-center space formerly occupied by moderate Republicans - leaving the traditional Democratic base behind.
Corporate Dems no longer represent the socially inclusive, progressive left wing. They betray families and workers and the environment and our future on this earth every time lobbyists like AIPAC fill their campaign coffers.
Qasim influencers left or right spreading hate or bigotry should be called out and the hypocrisy highlighted not embraced. Hasan Piker has made awful statements, finding equivalent statements on the right is very easy. Poking each other in the eye leaves us both blind even when it feels just in the moment. Thank you .🙌
Thank you for this article Qasim. I couldn't agree more. You have really opened my eyes to the hypocrisy in our government in a lot of ways. I think one of the first things that should change is taking the dark money out of politics! Also aligning ourselves with Israel as long as the genocide in Gaza is still going on. I really do have to thank you for awakening my radical nature!! It actually suits me quite well. 🤔
The auto-destruction of a viable democratic party through its enslavement to oil & gas, to corporate malfeasance, to neoliberalism has left those of us who might be castigated as social democrats, without a viable party structure. In Canada I can still "waste" a vote of protest on our struggling New Democratic Party, or the rump of our Green Party, as I regularly do. Americans have no such relief. Social democrats need to make noise.
Black people, other minorities and women with a brain agree! Let’s get a coalition going of the NON-CORPORATE DEMS running for office..present a united front with plans to not let this happen again by getting rid of some dangerous legislation..one amongst many comes to mind right now..get rid of qualified immunity…and so many others that need reform. Is it possible to have a candidate marathon of the non corp dems..sure would be helpful!! Where is our FDR right now..although he was a corporate dem..but did bring about some good change…
That’s fine . I just hope people find the time do a little research and vote for the progressive candidates. I think the time is now . The status quo has its head up its ass and if it can’t read the room at this point , then fuck ‘em. Anyone halfway paying attention can see what is going on . I remember back during the first shutdown when Schumer and Jeffries when the Oval Office and Trump threw a hat and make a joke about 2028 , I knew right then by their reaction and body language that they were both Zionist compromised.
Qasim, please continue to fight for the rights of all. As a paid subscriber, I deeply appreciate your efforts and insightful reporting. Peace.

Corporate Dems on blast - rightfully so.

Do Not Vote Blue No Matter Who.
Primary every single one of them.

Very good!
Let’s also not forget that corporate democrats wanna keep the $$ coming in too, they don’t want to be primaried !
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Your words are exactly what I've been trying to express, but I'm not as articulate as you. Thank you!

This was well done, but I wish you had defended Hasan more vociferously. Don’t run away from what he’s said. Most of it is very good!
Truth.
