But my question for you, is about a WaPo article by Rana Ayyub "Stateless by Design", how India (Modi) is erasing its Muslim CITIZENS. This shows the abhorrent right-or-religious-leaning caste of the world, the decline of democracy. In 2019, the Citizenship Amendment Act was opposed by many Indians, both Hindu & Muslim. But now, mostly in the state os Assam, 2 million Bengali-speaking Indian Muslims are being removed from official CITIZENSHIP lists. (India is inviting people from other countries to become citizens). Rohingya or Bangladeshi ... this is equivalent with treatment in Myanmar after 1962 military coup. U.S. has slightly objected, when it suited us politically, to speak for China's stateless Uyghurs.
There is so much horror going on .... EVERYWHERE ... it's frightening how to keep democracies going. India is the world's largest "democracy." Ayyub's conclusion is that " unified moral opposition is essential for democracy to continue." (of course)
That our First Amendment states that no religion shall be promoted or punished in U.S., to me, is one of our finest values (the originals fled England because forced to belong to the Church of England). Believe what completes your life and satisfaction, but don't force it onto others. Religions, to me, have produced more death and torture, than almost anything else ..... excepting selfishness (dictators). Personally, I do not subscribe to any organized religion (built by men to have power). My Higher Power is the Wisdom of the Universe, to help me when I can't solve a problem with my own brain.
Why won't they endorse Mamdani? Why is Trump going after Black mayors/governors/office holders? Because white men are worried they might become the minority, and they're worried paybacks will be a bitch.

I read started reading à very interesting book last year, “Secret Missions of the Civil War”. It really went into a lot of detail of the shadow war that was going on simultaneously, even before the first shot was fired at Fort Sumter. It involved men and women, and continued throughout the open war.
