Glenn Kirschner on his live substack this evening suggests this strategic way to boycott. Since Sinclair is still cancelling Kimmel the plan is to tune into your local ABC station that would or will air Kimmel. Take notes on which advertisers there are. If Kimmel ran, support those businesses with your $$$. If Kimmel didn't air, boycott those advertisers. Sounds like a good strong plan. Are you in?
Money is power and that is why America is all in for Israel though the American people are not. Zionists are a wildly disproportionate percentage of America's 1%, Larry Ellison and Bill Ackman just to mention two.
Most of my working career was with ABC/Disney. Dave Eisner, the CEO back then, was (and is) a supporter of Israel
Eisner was replaced by Bob Iger, Iger is a supporter of Israel
The next in line at Disney is said to be Dana Walden, who is a supporter of Israel.
It has taken the epic horror of Gaza to weaken the very tight grip of Zionism on America, very tragically too late for the tens of thousands of slaughtered Palestinians.
Hello Clif… You Are Onto Something… The Jewish Population in the USA are Very Well Placed in Politics, Law, Medicine, and the Media… They are also Close-Knit… For Many, Israel is their 1st-Loyalty…
Hi Apache The notorious conspiratorial "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" was a fabrication that was and is properly denounced as antisemitic, but the money that Zionists have available to push the cause of Israel is no conspiracy. It is wide open to view, but has achieved the same thing by putting a foreign country ahead of the US and causing the US to act against its own interests.
Today I was talking with a homeless person as I demonstrated for the Palestinians on the sidewalk. He impressed me when he said that what has happened in Gaza caused him to investigate the history of Israel/Palestine and he was surprised at how terrible the history has been for the Palestinians. Hooray for self-education!
The former and deceased leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, was denounced by many for saying that the horrible genocide of Palestinians might be the one and only thing that would get the attention of the world, so many Palestinian tragedies in the past not getting any attention at all. I think he has been proven exactly right.
The problem with Americans is they (and I include my younger self) did not do the reading this homeless man did and instead were influenced by "The Story of Israel" that was presented to them by Israel's supporters in every way from movies, to TV, to books, to selective reporting in MSM. In all of these areas, Zionists were in positions to both finance and decide what to produce with none of it being sympathetic to the Palestinians.
The tide is turning after far too long, but I wonder if there will be any Palestinians left alive when some kind of sanction is finally put on Israel. As an American I am most appalled that either Biden or Trump could have (Trump still could) stop the slaughter immediately, but neither have lifted a finger to do that and Biden even pronounced himself a Zionist!!!
Disney didn’t un-cancel Kimmel out of principle. They did it the way a toddler apologizes—because their allowance got cut off. Billions vanished, and suddenly Mickey found a spine in the lost-and-found bin.
And “sort of” back on air? That’s not free speech. That’s corporate hostage negotiation. Sinclair gets to play sheriff while Disney cosplays resistance. It’s like canceling the fire department and then bragging you gave them one hose back.
Boycotts work because money is the only sermon billionaires can’t sleep through. Keep the pressure. Keep the receipts. Blessed be the dandelions that crack concrete, even if the castle pretends it’s gardening.
A few days ago I told my dad that I’m boycotting Disney. His response was “Good!” Not “what?” Not “why?” “Good!” I was surprised how supportive he was about it without questioning why I’m doing it. It turns out that not only has Disney been ride or die for Israel for a very long time, but they’ve been funding the genocide of Gaza this entire time. I didn’t know all that til my dad told me. Now that I read Qasim’s article here confirming it, I’m still gonna continue boycotting Disney for good til the system of oppression comes to an end. Yes it’s very heartbreaking for me to do so because I love so many Disney movies since I was a kid. But it’s a sacrifice I’m making til we overcome these dark times. If I can continue boycotting target, Amazon, and Paramount (and many more to come), then I can continue boycotting Disney for sure
Thank you, this is really important! We don’t need a quick turn about because they lost money - we need a permanent change of the system! Hang in there, everyone!
Thank you, Qasim, for doing the research and spreading the word our media is too afraid of printing or covering. You keep me informed on a daily basis! You are the best!
My husband canceled Disney the day they put Jimmy on suspension. By the time we got around to canceling Hulu they had already announced they were "reinstating" him. Too bad, too late. We're done. Forever. Just like target, Amazon, Walmart, Nestlé, etc. Sick of these giant corporations
Great points. Also, I'm still left wondering what the Sinclair network which started Jimmy's censorship, is planning to do. Will they air his show now? Seems to me we still have to take them down.
Qasim, thanks for letting folx know what the goal of a boycott is. SMH with the person in the tweet that you shared, I had to wonder if they were a plant for Disney etc. We knew when the news broke that it was ONLY about the bucks-had there been any principles Kimmel wouldn't have been punished. And it isn't over, I have emailed Iger as you've suggested: Robert.A.Iger@disney.com b/c it ain't over until it is OVER.
^unmelanated (white) sp?
I totally agree with you on continuing the boycotts. This should just be the beginning. We should make them fear us.
Kimmel is back, which is as it should be, but what can we do about the quieter, more subtle version done to Colbert?
Same shit, different impact on perception management.
Yeeeeeessasssss!!!!
How do I find list of companies to boycott?
Thank you from your melanin challenged subscribers.
Boycott Sinclair and Nextstar! Great post

Yep, well said.

Bless your dad and bless you for standing up for justice!

No. They're refusing to air his show. They want him to apologize and donate to turning point. absurd.
