Is the Trump regime committing genocide? Does the Navy have ships?! Start with USAID and keep moving forward.

I just heard Anthony Davis who is joining Legal AF say--regarding the latest stripping of EPA everything--that this is a virtual genocide. He also thinks the former US allies will never trust America again. Are we surprised? America doesn't trust America.

As their operations are shrouded in secrecy how do we know how many people have been deported and or killed outright? They've taken out most of the oversight bodies and what's left has to ask permission and give notice and told when and where they are allowed to check. How Bondi can say that her (daddy) "trump is the most transparent president in history" boggles the mind. Yet the cult follow and obey against all evidence to the contrary.

ICE's operations in this country are eerily similar to the IDF's in Gaza and the West Bank, with the IDF being more extreme, at least at this point in time. The refusal of ICE agents to allow medical personnel to access Good and Pretti, illegal detention of innocent people, indefinite detention without charges or trial, horrible mistreatment while in detention, all come from the Israeli playbook. Police in this country regularly train with the IDF. One wonders why.

The vast expansion of detention facilities is extremely alarming - I can't help thinking that at some point the occupants will include not just minorities/foreigners, but native born who disagree with the government and its policies.

Yes. There is also the removal of children whose parents are detained, some of tender age, and later placed in adoptive families. Rings a bell, does it not? This has been done before, for example during the dictatorship in Argentina (1976-83), except in the US it’s all done in plain sight. During the first administration, I was researching youth immigrant detention contracts and came across the Youth for Tomorrow org in Virginia. Inexplicably (to me), they offered “service” for detained immigrant youth under federal contract, and were also licensed by Virginia as an adoption agency. They have a curious list of trustees too. Susan LaPierre is still a board member. Oliver North was previously a board member. I wrote an article about their activities, but was unable to get it published (no one in the DMV would pick it up). I am interested to know what is happening to children born in detention. Remember the reckless disregard for identifying young children of detained parents? That looked purposeful to me.

I don't know about man's law and plans, but the one and only true and living ABBA has a plan that will be a Miraculous historical lesson, proving HE alone has dominion over this earth and all of HIS HUMAN Creations. HIS word will not return to HIM void..the one that delivered us from Covid19 deaths in large numbers daily(many to include myself, lost loved ones.) Yeah..remember that deliverance miracle, inspite of man's silence.

You have given insight that there appears enough evidence necessary for a UN inquiry. Personally I think you are right that the hunt by masked, cruel agents for ‘illegal immigrants’ (which shouldn’t be criminal by law), the possibility of infinite detention without due process after arrest, and the horrible treatment of the detainees are at least crimes against humanity and possibly genocide.

My worry is that it will take too long before you’ll get a court decision. The International Criminal Court stated after the accusation of genocide by Israel on Palestinians that it would take many years before its search for evidence would be complete. May be accusation of crimes against humanity is more convenient?

Has the ruling of the very conservative US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit concerning infinite detainment without due process being challenged and brought to the Supreme Court Court? It seems to me to be an illegal ruling contrary to the Constitution c.q. common sense.

Thank you for your post, Qasim. This is so horrific that it's hard to bare. I already hated our homegrown concentration camps but had not yet applied the term genocide to them in my mind. We have to find a way to stop them from treating people this way. I want to be able to be proud to be an American again.

Of course he's committing genocide, he's purposely hurting people who are either non-white or despise him.

Bambi Vargo's avatar

Hey, Bloomberg, these are not "jails." They are concentration camps.

perhaps a simpler example is needed: Chump's actions towards Cuba are eerily similar to Israel's on Gaza... if the genocide fits 🍸

Very good article Qasim! And very important to pass along.

Is this his “eyes wide open” look? I have not seen his eyes open in weeks. And—speaking of genocide—don’t givve him any ideas as he and Bibi joke about who will be the world leader first.

This was more plausible than I thought it would be, but I still think it's a bit of a stretch. There are lots of horrible morally repugnant actions and policies which are not genocide. Questioning whether something is genocide is not defending it. This article, whether you agree that ICE commits genocide, is an effective and accurate piece of reporting and argument.

Qasim, I'm sorry I have no supporting references. I think that the reported mistreatment of pregnant women during abduction and in detention is another form of reproductive harm that supports your thesis.

They've often been mistreated during the detention process, sometimes being slammed to the ground. They don't seem to be given adequate food or clean drinking water, adequate sanitary conditions, or adequate conditions for needed sleep. They are denied routine prenatal care and emergency medical care. They seem to be routinely separated from their babies at birth, preventing normal attachment bonding necessary to a child's health and development. These seem very deliberate to harm both woman and child. I don't know how often these conditions have led to loss of fertility, miscarriages, premature births, low birth weights, still births, or death of the mother. But such outcomes would seem to be specifically intended by such treatment. They certainly do not reflect a reverence for life.
