Grateful to all of you for your love and support. I promise to be safe. As I've long said -- we need messengers, not martyrs. Thank you for the prayers and good wishes. I'll report from MN Thursday and Friday, inshaAllah.

Tuning in live today. Value your coverage and commentary Qasim. Thank you for demonstrating theory to practice.

"The reality is this: it would be shameful for me to take the privilege I have—citizenship, education, professional credentials, a platform reaching millions—and then cower at the moment when my voice is needed most. As I’ve proudly said before, I did not become a human rights lawyer to avoid discomfort. I did not study law to echo soothing clichés. I did it to speak truth to power, to elevate the vulnerable, and to challenge systems that harm our neighbors."

Thank you for your courage and ethics. I’ve seen a rise in “subtle” racism/sexism/ageism at work during the Trump years. Businesses like the tax breaks afforded by different groups but shirk the responsibility of actually supervising acts that hurt them. In fact, many businesses encourage employees to spy and report on each other. This often results in magnifying small and/or rare infractions and ignores frequent offenders, A very good friend of mine (a lovely Pakistani woman ) is often mistreated because of her dedication, hard work and flexibility. A friend of mine and I speak up for her but to no avail. (She’s a reserved and quiet person who says she just wants to do her job)It’s for people such as her that Trump’s maga minions make like miserable. Thanks again for your courage!

Thank you for your important work. Getting together with the interfaith leaders at this workshop can help in combating ICE. Solidarity helps moral and helps resistance.

Thank you again. I so wish that my health would allow me to be on the streets for this battle. Alas, annoying my red reps will have to do

I am new to reading you and am not really consistent about it. (I am subscribed to several Substack writers. ) This willingness to go to a danger zone is very courageous and I wish you the best of luck! I look forward to hearing your stories!
