Katie Phang did a post where she went through the composite video published by the NYT. The shooter made a circle all the way around Good's vehicle, filming with his phone the entire way until he got back around to the front. What we can learn from that is he knew (a) there was a driver behind the wheel and (b) the engine was running. If he had been properly trained, he would know that (c) he should not have passed in front of the vehicle, which means (d) he couldn't have been but just SO "fearful for his life" or he wouldn't have done that. We then see him draw his weapon as he reaches the left side of the vehicle, and he is clear of the car before it moves in his direction with the wheels turn full lock *right*, with him on the *left*. If Renee wanted to run him over, she picked a damned peculiar way to attempt it. And she was too close to have done any serious damage even if she had hit him, which she did not. The first round hit the lower left corner of the front windshield. The second and third rounds were fired through the open *driver's side window*, as the vehicle passed -- well clear of the shooter.

I am a retired attorney and firmly believe in logic, research, and facts. In other words, I am not likely to believe that something is a conspiracy. Today, though, I watched this murder happen via multiple taped camera angles, not one of which exonerated the shooter in the least. And I hear that the local law enforcement officials will not be involved in the investigation at all, though it occurred in their city.
Then, Trump’s domestic clown car goes in to high gear, definitively saying that Ms. Good, a mom of three and defender of the vulnerable among us, is definitely a “domestic terrorist”. He is echoed in this nonsense by J.D. Vance, Vampire Miller, and Puppy Killer Noem, among others.
So I hope you won’t think me too hyperbolic when I share my belief that this is beginning of an escalation of ICE and the military’s role on the streets of our cities, and that it will definitely NOT end well.
Columbus OH has large population of Somali people. Now some nuts are trying to enter day care centers while children are present to look for fraud! Adults in charge have had to resist, even call the police. Given ohios lax gun laws that is a recipe for another disaster, if even in the parking lot.
From history and observations, this dictatorship is intent on creating fear throughout the country. Fear in turn leads to inaction from the people. It paralyzes and freezes the populace. My younger friends are afraid. I tell them not to be afraid because they are going to come and take everything away anyway. Being afraid gives them permission to proceed. They need to feel the consequences of their actions and know for a fact, that when the people have nothing left to lose, the retaliation will be hell upon their heads. I know that their bunkers have power sources and the security can be taken out. Too many brilliant people out here that they aren’t counting on. This is my opinion, but it’s also history.

The fact that JD Vance and others are using the "If she'd only complied..." line is sickening. They've been beating this drum for decades now, but at least now it seems to be equal opportunity. They used to only use that argument when the victim was black or brown. Now the mask is completely off and we see them for the fascist scum they are.

National police departments have been increasingly militarized in the last several decades, and we already knew why. Qualified immunity has enabled police officers to abuse and murder with impunity. But too many people still say, “not all police.” Sure, Jan.
