My own corporate Dem memory. In 1994, my partner and I went to the Democratic Convention to support Jerry Brown. The DNC came in our meeting and informed us that Clinton would be the nominee because they chose him at a retreat. We were told to back off. They weren't asking.
How is this helping? Democrats can't get enough from "small donations" to run competitive campaigns against candidates backed by billionaires. At least if a Democrat gets elected they will do more to support consumers, even if not everything you or anybody else wants, and it will be a lot better than what Republicans are destroying doing with changes to, e.g. the CFPB, DOE, NIH, voting, etc.
I really don't know what immigrants think when they come here. They really believe all the nonsense they've heard about Black Americans until its their turn to be hit with the racist stick.
