I can't imagine a father as Donald Trump, who is a rapist, and 34 count Criminal, and a two-time impeached president.. And look at how Gross Donald Trump really is.
All the lovely replies tell you all you need to hear about heartfelt Father’s Day posting. Your Father was a remarkable man, and you honor him with all aspects of your work and writing. And I am sure, pass this wisdom and love on to your “microqasims”. 💖
What a terrific father he was! He made you into the caring person that you are. My dad passed in 1978. Life will always be before and after, but thank God for the years we were with them.
Happy Father's Day, Qasim. I'm sure your father was very proud of you and the way you are honoring and building on his legacy. And now we know from whom you got your good looks!
Thank you for that wonderful story of your father. And thank the creator of all of us for bringing my great father to me. He like many of us did not know how to be a father but grew into the wonderful person he was. He always was a deeply caring person who taught me and my brother not to be prejudiced against those who were different from us, He had a wonderful mind who was cheated out of a chance to go to High School but through reading came to know more than many college grads, I hope there is a life after so I can show him my gratitude.
Happy Fathers Day, Qasim & for sharing your father with us. Your father's teachings landed on fertile ground & now you offer those teachings to us - we are blessed. May your day be as wonderful as you are.
happy Father’s day to you! you are authentic loving and generous soul. Us readers know this. You display you love for humanity and teach us with every post. Thank you❣️
What a great tribute for a great dad! Thank you for including the part that expands on Islam’s teachings about actionable generosity and acceptance of others. It is something with which I have had firsthand experience. Your Father is very proud of you. His Spirit lives on 🙏
Happy Father's Day, Qasim. The photo of your dad holding you looks so much like one of my dad holding me that I can't help but love him. Anyone who smiles that joyfully when holding his child truly knows what it is to be A Father, and I am so glad that he passed his values on to you so well that you're such a beacon of hope for us all, now.
I'm going to give my 76-year-old dad a call to tell him how grateful I am to him, that he raised me with eyes clear enough to see the shape of the world, a mind sharp enough to consider not just what is but also what could be, and a heart strong enough to know that, if fortune or divinity has placed me in such a vantage point as to see a better future than others can, it is my duty to share that vision with the rest of the world. With your permission, I'd like to pass your own gratitude to your own dad along to him, when I do. A father should be told.
What a beautiful tribute to your Father, Qasim - my sincere condolences to you! It's hard ... those firsts and even the 20th's .... my Father has been gone for 38! They will be forever in our hearts and memory.
What a beautiful tribute. My (step)father taught me to argue — in a positive way. He taught me it was smart to form my own opinions even when they disagreed with his. We had raucous political and social arguments. My mother sometimes got mad at us at the dinner table, but she was outnumbered once my younger sister got old enough to argue herself. I would call them debates, but …they were so much more — because sometimes, I got him to agree with me — and he was a Republican(not MAGA — he died before MAGA existed). It turned out to be a great gift.
Beautiful words. Thank you.
