I have learned Don Lemon's name but had no idea about Georgia Fort. God the racism / misogyny thing is so real.

The attack on Don Lemon and Georgia Fort is an attack on "all Journalist" and the vital Historical Rights of all Journalist. The method, message and motive are to ensure the shutdown of:

#1- transparency and #2-accountability,

in American Society from the very top to the very bottom. As we know, their goal is to intimidate, send a strong message to "all Journalist" using fear tactics to eliminate #1 and #2 regardless of the skin color of the journalist, in order to have the general population in American Society uninformed and confused as lawlessness rise to new levels. They could have chosen any brilliant and successful American Journalist of many ethnicities as are represented here on substack, but, "the method, message" and "motives" would remain the same.

🕯John Lewis would be proud to know the American Journalist and it's Citizens..."We the People" collectively are getting into some "good trouble" that will establish a brighter future for America.🇺🇲

Thank you Qasim - Your speaking up is so important and we do appreciate it.

This is all so appalling. My heart breaks for Minnesotans and yes, it is coming everywhere. The Governor’s must stand together and the courts to the best of their ability. We MUST stop them. Thank you Qasim, you are incredibly brave and so very good at your craft. Much appreciated by me. 💙💙💙

Dismantling democracy with a sledgehammer. A whopping big VERY FAST wrecking ball swinging in every direction.

Those of us outside US must also keep informed, show solidarity to those trying not to drown as they bravely protest, report truth and try to enact the constitutional law. Playing "ostridge" is capitulation

"It's an uncivil war" and "Sarah" allude to what turns out to be the big problem: the "Second Amendment" has been mostly repealed. We need fully functioning militias that are capable of checking federal over-reach, but almost all of the arms necessary for them to do that are illegal for civilian possession.

Spunty's avatar

The problem with militias, is that most are aligned in and with red states. Not much relief going to come from those.

Fred Jonas's avatar

The "Second Amendment" long preceded "red" and "blue" states. I agree with you that one of the undercurrent interpreted intentions of militias was to track down and return runaway slaves, but if you read Federalist Paper #29, two purposes are mentioned. The first is to have militias that will protect states and localities from federal over-reach, and the other is to join the federal military to protect the Union from foreign invasion. The largest and best equipped and organized militia was the CSA. As you say, that was in what we would call today "red" states. And they lost. Fully outfitted and with excellent leadership. The states and localities, "red" or "blue," don't stand a "snowball's chance in hell" today. And the "red" states are as foolish and shortsighted as are the clown's chosen functionaries if they think the clown won't come after them, too, if they don't do what he says. There are very many corpses under the bus. And look who's not under the bus, yet: grossly incompetent and anti-American people whose salvation, so far, is that they do any illegal thing the clown wants them to do. The kid who shot the clown's ear was killed anyway. It's a terrible shame he didn't take the clown with him.

As usual the regime is attacking on multiple fronts in their efforts to wrest control of the narrative and overwhelm us. Trump runs on vengeance and he will never give up. Trump is still claiming he won in 2020. One of the reasons he went after Maduro is to bolster this claim. Don't be surprised when Maduro admits to election tampering in Venezuela in exchange for charges dropped.

Qasim - I don't think it's deflection anymore. I look at it as the whole of fascism - we can't not zoom in on what he's doing to lead us to WWIII and Civil War 2026. He and his entire team from Miller to Rubio to Bessent must be locked up. And if it's next to Hillary and Bill, that would be ironically fine by me.

I’ve been wondering-Why are SO many ICE agents wrongfully detaining people, and detaining people without warrants? (Right there, one explains the other.) Do they think they are doing a righteous job properly? What if they too, have been lied to so much by superiors they believe they are doing everything right, chasing down vile illegal criminals? Ok, with 5 year old Liam,, that’s a stretch. BUT, perhaps, is it possible a bit of the clash in expectations and behavior between agents and protestors, is because agents are unknowingly getting flawed information on assigned targets? Without personally checking immigration status or citizenship, without getting a warrant, (I imagine the latter requires the former) do they think they are chasing criminals of illegal status? When Noem lies and says ”We only go after the worst of the worst” are they trying to convince ICE agents, as much as the public? (By the way, pretty sure everything Noem says is scripted by Miller.) Afraid that, impeaching HER won’t get rid of the monster’s head.

Has Stephen Miller at the top of the deportation monster, above all other directors, DHS and ICE, and BORDER PATROL, made it impossible for agents to get the necessary warrants to avoid all these mistakes? Mistakenly detaining, and misidentifying people? After all, as he is trying to do with Don Lemon, Miller threatens to ruin people, their livelihoods, take all their money, their jobs, their reputations, their freedom, their lives…Miller is trying to eliminate from the face of the earth everyone who doesn’t look like him, and same for everyone who ”interferes and obstructs” with any of his agendas. Every case is a test case to see how far he can push the limits of his power without getting checked. Or fired. Please. Regarding Don Lemon: If the incident or situation is related to ”immigration” Miller is holding the marionette strings and directing the show. If #47 could see Miller as a liability and fire him, maybe this human catastrophe could be exposed and dismantled before anyone else dies.

Spunty's avatar

Why would #47 fire Miller? He's in line to be the Trump equivalent of Ernst Röhm.

I am very fearful of the midterms being manipulated, both being able to vote and to have an accurate count. Somehow, we have to have observers, especially in the battleground states. Funny how I want to think of the DOJ as the protector instead of the enemy. But the one constant fact is that Bondi lies as she tries to protect Trump. It’s now the TOJ: Trump Office of Justice.

Last week I wrote directly to my state's Governor about the elections. The writing seems to be on the Wall about the results. Trump will definitely want to sabotage them--no question.

Overwhelmed! Each day brings new stories of our rapid descent into living in a dictatorship and yet the political "class" including the legacy media talks as though this is business as usual. It's simply beyond my understanding. I feel like we are sinking because "we" are trying to bail out a boat with a huge hole in it.Thank goodness for all those working tirelessly to "right" the ship; the people in the streets, the lawyers and judges and journalists who keep us informed of what's really taking place.

This is what consolidation looks like in real time. You squeeze elections, you squeeze journalists, and you call it stability. Arresting reporters while hiding state violence isn’t law and order — it’s fear management. Silence doesn’t protect anyone. It just makes the next step easier.
