You are making a very very big statement. It all matters, you matter and a very lovingly THANK YOU for speaking up for all of us. Our country, our freedoms and all things on earth are important, no matter the color, the species, the environment. You are all very special even if it doesnt feel that way with 4 days to go….🩷
Y’all are the living spirit of so many before you, who gave their energy to the idea of Americans living in community w/o concern or prejudice of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual identity. So very proud of y’all!!!
I refer to you as ‘my friends’ to my spouse, because to me, your commitment to our democracy and energy to educated and encourage others to register to vote is essential to our democracy!!

I tried to sign up to be a part of this but could not get the info I needed to make the trip that I could not afford anyway — from northern Michigan. Has 1000 Miles to Memphis been interviewed or featured on DemocracyNow, The Guardian, Portside, Common Dreams, Indivisible, 50501, The Catholic Worker, I wonder as mainstream and other news are not covering this. I get a text every once in a while from the sponsoring organization. Again, thank you thank you thank you! TO ANYONE READING THIS – – I hope you will consider send this Substack far and wide on Facebook, Instagram and other social media to friends and family. There are so many great voting rights organizations that I hope will embrace this even as a past activity if they haven’t done so yet and in the next three days.
