I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the current Secretary of Agriculture who has over seen the dismantling of the Farm Bill to continue to support, with subsidies and loans, commercial factory farms, that grow grains for export to feed cattle and a diminished and diminishing National Forest Service, closing the local and regional offices and firing agriculture Officers that assist with local farm and conservation issues and, supported, under Biden, help for grants and program development in rural areas for better use of farmlands, development of several programs for conservation, protection of our nation's forests and the screening for public and indigenous input for sales and projects on Federal lands. All disappearing on her watch, This USDA employee supports sale of the the protected Roadless area that is sale of tens of thousands of acres of Feredal lands across the USA. It is interesting that we might get rid of this USDA keader, not for destruction of her Department and public lands but for Preaching religious beliefs to her employees. God help us all and the trees, too.
Maybe poor Brooke was just feeling undernourished from those $3 meals she “ran over 1000 simulations” to create and share with broke and hungry Americans.
I was not actually aware of this, I am Catholic and still think that this is not something they should have authority to do. Our archdiocese has changed leadership to combat this so I can assure you they are themselves working on this and against things like this. They would never impose something like this, it just goes against the religion itself. christian nationalism is the problem. They make my blood boil. Their identities are fake and ripped off... that really just nails it.
Qasim, I really appreciate your reporting. This is an extremely important issue. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of extremely important issues confronting us at this time and the list gets longer with every passing day. It's clear that no one is coming to save us. Not the DNC, not the U.N. We are on our own. Hundreds of people are investigating and reporting. Many are doing a great job at an important service but we need some ring leaders. You have the temperament, intelligence and experience to be a great leader. Tad Stoermer would be a great asset as well. If you could rally other needed assets-the best of the best and coordinate a nationwide network of experts to hatch a coordinated plan to combat the situation from every angle and simultaneously start building a solid framework for a new direction with rigorous safeguards against any further attempts of fascist white nationalist takeovers we might have a chance. Please consider this. Cady Staton and Susan B Anthony did it with national conventions and properly thought out needed assets. (except for black women) I'd take it on myself but I only have 3 friends with no clout. Haha. You could do it. I know it's a huge ask but no one is coming to save us and reporting on issues is not enough. Love to you, Nina
Thank you Qasim for this article. I used to subscribe to a couple of Substacks that focused on explaining Christian Nationalism that were being hosted by former members of that group. I have to tell you that what they said about this movement was so scary and unsettling that I had to drop these Substacks in order to preserve my mental health. They are really scary people!! They are extreme fundamentalists They are preparing for the second coming of Christ and will not let anything stand in the way. Destroying our government is just part of that. Anyway, we need to take them seriously and not just as a small annoyance. I appreciate all that you do Qasim, especially your work as a human rights lawyer. You can see clearly where promoting one religious sect over all other religions or no religion is a taking away our rights and is not about religious freedom at all.
Thank you, Qasim! I couldn’t agree more! These so-called Christians would not stop to help Jesus if they ran him over in their car. They would blithely leave that brown man for dead.
As a Christian, I would like to point out that what they are imposing is not even in the same zip code of Christianity, it is a heresy, a repulsive nationalistic and fascist ideology dressed to look like Christianity.
These deranged politicians should be representing all Americans, not preaching to them.
Faith is something deeply personal and predicated on free will, the moment it is shoveled on people throat it becomes instrumental to hate and intolerance.
This administration is attacking all genuine Christians, mocking and twisting their faith into a disgusting political propaganda devised to polarize Americans, foster extremism and distract the public from the crimes they are perpetrating.
And if you think that I am exaggerating, I would like to quote this historical statement from a well-known elected head of state:
"We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideas of Christianity. In fact our movement is Christian."
Damn straight, and from what I heard some of these guys aren't even Christian either, they're just using it to control people and hurt identities they hate.
Does this stupid woman believe that, just because she announces that christianity is “our religion” that she will persuade everyone to believe? I no longer live in the U.S., but I guarantee her that there is nothing she could possibly say or do to make me obey her edict. What is she going to do when she discovers how many people refuse to become christians, kill them all?
I’ve been an atheist almost all my life and am not about to change.
I am a Catholic, but the thought of Christian Nationalism is pretty sickening. Look at the ones that are public figures that presumably practice it. The Bible says "judge not" but do they act like Jesus taught us
I am a practicing Catholic and am 100% against Christian nationalism. Our government should not be having prayer groups during working hours at the office. Administrators should not be adding prayers to letters or public announcements. It wasn’t mentioned here but the push for private schools being paid by taxpayers is Christian nationalism. It has to end somehow and I hope there are attorneys fighting it.
Isn't she the idiot who suggested that Medicaid recipients could replace the agricultural workers deported by Rump's anti immigration policies?

Brooke Rollins is a traitor to the Constitution. She is also a false prophet for a dubious religion called christianity.
I want those voted into office to uphold the constitution would do so.

His name was Adolf Hitler.
Damn straight, and from what I heard some of these guys aren't even Christian either, they're just using it to control people and hurt identities they hate.
"Delusional and misguided " and I'd add, meanly intended!

Dude right? Does she have any idea that there's atheists and agnostics in this country?
