Who would have thought a few months ago that I would actually recognize Jess Craven before I read the blurb? I remember when we lived in a suburb northwest of Chicago that we had to deal with flooded basements regularly.
Israel is an occupying force ,also in the West Bank. Bombing and oppression. We provide the war machine . If representatives cannot state the word Genocide , WHAT else can't they speak the truth on. Congress has completely capitulate and betrayed our country. Money and power has corrupted the core .
That's an important part in you finale. Involve your children. It's amazing how much information even a toddler can soak up! Involve them in decision making as well as exercise. Involve them in the parts of the news that are going to be a part of their future lives. Have debates with them. The pros and cons of political opponents is not beyond their capacity to understand. I'm in total agreement with Jess. REGISTER TO VOTE for any office that's coming open in your area. Double-check that you are STILL registered, because they are still purging the voter rolls and will right up until the day. Encourage your associates, friends and family to REGISTER TO VOTE soonest! That last election, that ONE THIRD of the country didn't vote, in should not happen again! I have had a black woman tell me that it doesn't matter to her because, she expressed it as "letting the white man fight it out between themselves!" I understand why she would think that way but if you want change things in your life, you have to stand up and be counted! The Blackman got the power to vote by his blood sweat and tears, don't let it be for nothing.
America has ruled by Genocide, Enslavement, and Racist Apartheid. This is what the republicans want to have back. They built their party on fear for 200 years and they are so pissed off that it's been almost obliterated. I say almost because when it comes to racism the laws changed but not the mindset of the people. It's probably going to take another 200 years to abolish it because even though you have laws to protect you the white man invariably wins the case. There are some exceptions but that's only because people now have cell phones with cameras otherwise, so video evidence that is indisputable. If the oral evidence is given by a minority person it will be over ruled by a white man or women.
I know that not all America want's to let this stuff go. I'm pretty sure they would be willing to talk about the issue of racism so that they can have a free and fair society. The fact that people have stood by and allowed it to happen because they don't want to be called names is pathetic. Imagine how the indigenous people and the Afro American people and the Latino people feel? They are STILL, after all this time being called names and worse! You can't fix a system if you don't face the fact that it's broken.
Non-violent protest is essential. I'm hearing people say that they should carry a concealed weapon so that when ICE attempts to take you, you should be able to defend yourself because they didn't show a warrant. That's crazy! That's suicide! If you pull a gun on one of them the rest will kill you as if in a firing squad type situation. Not only will you die but there will be collateral damage. Other innocents will die too. These guys being hired by ICE are like Kyle Rittenhouse, they have no experience of firearms except the basics. They are like that kid going to just kill anybody because they are afraid. This will also open up an avenue for trump to drive a tank through the people and run them down declaring that they are violent insurrectionist. He should know all about that! The law MUST MOVE FASTER, to stop this squad of ICE nut jobs.
You're right Qasim, getting 15M people shouldn't be a hard thing to do. In Israel recently 1/2M people got out to protest Netanyahu's treatment of the Palestinians! This is a country of less than 10M!
There are two reasons that I'm aware of as to why Newsom is doing these things on social media. One it's obviously to embarrass trump and his supporters by showing them how dumbass they are and also to get past the algorithm that doesn't allow criticism of trump. They use his style and his words to make this look like their leaders post and then it gets seen by the MAGA crowd. Brilliant move I'd say!
Check out what trump's doing in Venezuela. He's closing the Panama Canal at both ends, in and out, using Blackstone mercenaries, I can't call them soldiers because they are paid by the job. This is in order to force Venezuelans to deal with Chevron. Venezuelans have a huge oil economy that trump wants. Chevron gave trump a bunch of money and he's thanking them. Also trump gets 15% of what they take! Trump has ships off their coast in case war breaks out, or should I say, to ensure war breaks out, if they don't get rid of their leader and install one friendly to the trump regime! This will be the "war" trump will use. He says it's because it's stopping drugs. Bullshit! They want to control Venezuelans to be a cheap work force for Chevron.

A glimmer of hope: 27 Democratic senators voted recently to cut off military aid to Israel. Not enough, but perhaps an encouraging sign.
