I came back on THE LEFT HOOK with Wajahat Ali to call out a double standard—CBS ran a headline tying Michigan Senate candidate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed to 9/11, 25 years after the fact, for no reason other than his faith. All while cable news spent days demanding Democrats condemn streamer Hasan Piker, yet Neera Tanden can openly amplify Laura Loomer's Islamophobic attacks on Black and Muslim candidates and face zero consequences from her own party.
This is the same anti-Shariah playbook we fought 15 years ago, now aimed at DEI, trans people, and any Democrat who won’t fall in line—including Dr. El-Sayed, who just won his primary after being outspent 11 to 1 by AIPAC-aligned money, and Angie Nixon, who won hers outspent almost 20 to 1. Democratic leadership still won’t fully back either of them.
Wajahat also shares what he saw reporting from the occupied West Bank for his Atlantic documentary: a village whose well was deliberately poisoned and then filled with cement so residents now have to buy back their own water at six times the price.
