Well, you did it again -- MADE me pay attention and deliver -- I joined Earthjustice, monthly. I have signed their petitions, and liked their slogan "the Earth needs a good lawyer" but had not sent $$. I feel good, having joined them, tho mine is only $$, and they are doing the work!
Your iteration of all they've done, makes me feel that they are accomplishing more than other environmental groups I support -- though EVERYONE is trying to do their part. I like that you pointed out their legal victories in Africa also. The whole world is so consumed by corporations trying to make a buck, regardless of what they are doing to the environment, MONEY truly is the root of all evil.
Though things are terrible here under trump, ... somehow I feel ordinary people are waking up to climate change, probably because they are experiencing it in heightened storms, floods, fires.
I wish I could be here in 100 years, to see the progress conscious people have done.
I don’t purchase any Tyson products. Curious if this regime will just walk over any laws put in place. I do know without the receipts the goal is to depopulate by billions. Could this be part of the plan? Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist, but they just disabled the scientific weather and atmospheric research studies in Colorado. I just read it, so I don’t always retain everything correctly. If someone has more specific information please correct me.
The Tyson greenwashing settlement is huge and gets way less attention than it deserves. Industrial ag has been hiding behind net-zero marketing for years while their methane footprint rivals entire fossil fuel companies. What makes Earthjustice effective is they're not asking nicely for voluntary compliance, they're using existing statutes to force accountability through courts. The Everglades detention case shows how environmental and immigration policy get weaponized together when enforcement ignores mandtory review processes. Rule of law only means something if someone's willing to enforce it.
This is what accountability looks like when it puts on boots and reads the fine print. While politicians argue vibes, Earthjustice shows up with facts, law, and receipts. Turns out the rule of law still works when someone actually insists on using it. Climate justice isn’t abstract. It’s enforced.

Thanks especially for this post.

Thanks for highlighting the good work Earth Justice is doing. They've been in the forefront of good environmental advocacy for a long time now.

Amazing!

They're doing great work. I'm proud to support them.
