Let's be clear. Israel is a very slippery slope because there are no good actors there. Bibi and his buttplugs Shmotrich and Ben Gvir are rotten to the core. But Hamas is orders of magnitude worse. It appears that El Sayed is trying to blow it off with his own brand of America First. I have no problem with not sending weapons to Israel but if the Rogers campaign can attach El Sayed to Hasan Piker and in turn Hamas and Sharia Law that will be a serious problem. Hasan Piker will be the albatross that Rev. Wright was for Obama. El Sayed better denounce in no uncertain terms when Piker says shit like he doesn't give a damn about October 7 or 9/11 was deserved.
I was saddened to learn that his opponent allowed unseemly racial profiling during her campaign. She posted today in a long message that she fully supports him now.
I am so proud of Dr. Abdul El-Sayed and his plans for our future as a country . He has worked very hard to reach those of us who are struggling. Thank you for your posts about his story, and the successful outcome in the Primary!

Let us not forget that the total vote count in both the Democratic races for governor and senator was about 1,5000,000 while the total vote count for the Republican race for governor was about 900,000. I am no mathematician but that ratio is 5:3.
We have every reason to be optimistic but no reason to be complacent. We must maintain that momentum and enthusiasm to November and all the way to 2028!
If Democrats want to be in power, they will endorse the candidates who are winning their primaries and throw their full support behind them. And they must reject AIPAC and AIPAC'S shadow orgs, because the majority of Americans don't want to be aligned with Israeli genociders any more. I truly think the Democrats have dozens of races that are theirs to lose- and they will lose unless they get behind the candidates the people want.
I'd like to see misogyny added to that list of rejected ills this new party is forming around. Especially since it seems to be the most important value maga is based upon.....
I was very happy to see the win by Dr. El-Sayed! Many feelings came through while reading this article. I was glad that even those who endorsed others during the primary moved forward to endorse Dr. El-Sayed...and then there was the disingenuous statement from Hillary Scholten. Clearly, she has to keep her donors happy. ANY Democrat who speaks like this, because of her money source is someone who should never hold another seat w/ a (D) after her/his name.
My second very strong feeling, especially after this win and others, the DNC and the old guard Democrats in Congress had better start listening to their constituents! WE are sending a message they are NOT willing to listen to. WE are not willing to have members of Congress put their with OUR VOTES, act like we are not capable of knowing what WE WANT and what is BEST for US. I for one am tired of Representatives & Senators thinking we're smart enough to VOTE for them but NOT smart enough know what we want them to do. I have stopped donations to the DNC and to some Democratic "PAC" because they are NOT listening to we the people.
I was delighted to learn that Dr. El-Sayed had won the primary. I was dismayed to open the article and see that the NYT posted a picture with the breaking news referencing Israel as a large part of the issue and Abdul looking like he’s giving the salute. Hard to believe it wasn’t intentional.
Accusing someone of having "allowed distinctly anti-American sentiment to enter our public dialogue" is Joe McCarthy talk. And echoes Rubio's version of the same, which puts Scholten in his camp. Yikes. So does that mean she thinks public dialogue should be shut against proposals for universal health care, or to stop bombing children?
This is a game changing moment in current American political history. We The People are finally starting to wise up and rise up. It’s a beautiful thing. Millions of dollars vs grass roots and hard work. Abdul and team proved it could be done. Excellent testimony to the importance of taking it to the streets.

This is great news! As a native Michigan "expat" with relatives there, I am heartened by this report (currently Maryland, where we have challenges of our own, of course).
Thanks for the expose, too, and reminding us all who our real friends are - and who they are not. It isn't a matter of policy disagreement, or differences in style. These are inevitable and even necessary at times. It's a matter of who is operating in good faith, and who is not, win or lose. But of course, wins like this are necessary too. Celebrate today, back at it tomorrow.
