I fear the leaders in the Democratic Party have a very long way to go before they'll support a truly progressive candidate. I wish we could change that sooner. AIPAC and the endless money allowed in campaigns in general just makes these elections a joke. Muck gave Dump $300 M for his campaign.

Shapiro's shtick is browbeating using his machine-gun way of speaking to try forcing others to back down. Newsom behaved accordingly and embarrassingly in the interview, this a Democrat with pretensions to power who only showed his spinelessness, the signal characteristic of long-time members of the DP.

It’s that thing again are you gonna believe me or you’re lying eyes?

I keep seeing people say Gavin Newson should be the pick for presidentval candidate. But to me he is middle of the road, who only has the presence he has now because of his social media team (who are outstanding!). Denying the genocide of the Palestinian people should knock him out of contention. America needs new blood in the democratic party.

Gavin threw trans people under the bus and now starving Gazans. Shame on him.

Newsom is my governor. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. Give me a progressive candidate.

BTW, you do not have to a California resident to write to Mr. Newsome. Go to his site and for subject click other. I just did and he needs the feedback.

Well there goes my future vote for Newsom. And this is coming from someone that voted for him as governor of my home state California! If this is the only option the Dems have to offer as the presidential candidate, then we’re really screwed big time smh

This is why it’s essential that your reporting needs financial support. Otherwise if Democrats like Newsome, Booker and Schumer keep mealy-mouthing towards Israel the two party stance of democracy will be dead.

Grateful for your support, Thomas. As you already know, this research, production, editing, and publication, is not cheap, easy, or free. Thank you for helping making possible.

Mr Rashid, I cannot hold a candle to your incisive condemnations and wry wit, your cogent, well-founded ripostes to this flannel. But I can assure you that my response was exactly the same as yours at the 35'00" mark: utter dumbfounded stupefaction.

I'll admit, your commentary corralled a lot of information that I already knew. Thank you. But, shame on me, I had not heard the figure "680,000" till now. Lord preserve us.

Thanks, Graham. Doing my best and hoping we can continue to build this coalition for justice.

If any Democrats think Newsom is fit to be president just because he was good at trolling Trump on social media, they have learned nothing.

Newsom does NOT want to understand genocide in Gaza by Israel. They drank the kool-aid the minute they heard about the Nazi genocide. Now it is as if they fear Israel, and they should. The horrors of genocide are never okay when carried out by any nation.

I agree -- GENOCIDE in Gaza and West Bank against Palestinians BY Israel government, army, and Israelis and their allies who supply $$$, weapons. Traditional Dems who pussyfoot around with excuses and soft words, aren't doing the cause of Justice in this world, any favors.

Thanks for having the moral courage to speak the truth in public.

Well said and thank you.

This is what real opposition looks like.

Not vibes. Not “both sides.” Not silence dressed up as pragmatism.

When denial comes from the right, it’s expected.

When it’s echoed or enabled by Democrats with national ambitions, it becomes complicity.

Facts don’t care who’s polling well. And justice doesn’t wait for a safer election cycle.

Interview Newsom. Ask him directly. Call him out, the way we want all democrats to be made aware of their complicity. Remaining silent is just another "strongly worded letter" or article.
