Suddenly Gaza is on the back burner. Much more concern flowing from around the world for those white Greenlanders. That way the black and brown bodies can continue to pile up unnoticed.
When the "grand" construction of a fantastic Gaza hotel district begins, we'll be reading about newly found graves of Palestinians murdered by the IDF.
Wether or not Hamas has disarmed is a sidetrack as they have not violated the ceasefire. They have not fired at the IDF. Israel hasn't proved that despite the 24/7 surveillance of Gaza. They have been accused 4 times. One of those times the accusation of violation wasn't about armed resistance to Israel. It was about Hamas not finding the 1 remaining body of an Israeli hostage. And like you say, Israel has violated the "ceasefire" over a thousand times. And killing people isn't the only violation. They still restrict aid. And that kills far more people than bombs. People are literally freezing to death. Especially the youngest and the oldest. And the fact that IDF is currently occupying around 80% of Gaza . 53% to 60% was what was agreed to.
But clearly Hamas's "violations" didn't seem to influence Witkoff saying they're ready to start "phase two" of the "ceasefire" They killed 3 journalists today by airstrike.
"Saying false things about the jewish state". Without a single example about what is false. The genocide? All authorities on genocide has established it's a genocide. People that research genocide, historians. An Israeli historian were amongst the first that said it:
I couldn't watch too much of it, but Newsom lies down and plays dead for Shapiro. Yes, feckless!! Even his body language, the somewhat limp waving of his hands around, shows he's trying to court the right wing.
My father got out of Germany in 1935; my grandparents, not til April 1941. Not all my father's relatives were as lucky. I will NEVER vote for anyone who denies genocide... anywhere, anytime, by anyone.
Gavin Newsom can’t seem to stop shooting himself in the foot politically, as evidenced by him granting interviews last year to white nationalist propagandist Charlie Kirk before his tragic and cowardly assassination and schemer, conniver MAGA provocateur Steve Bannon. And now this pathetic interview with twerp, dweeb right-wing extremist podcaster Ben Shapiro.
Not to mention, his clumsy flip-flop on transgender rights in the Bannon interview. He has made every possible effort to reach out to Americans who would never vote for him and, in doing so, has alienated the very Americans whose votes he needs to win the Democratic nomination and general election for President in 2028.
Regarding Israel-Palestine, Democrats are going go to have to somehow find a presidential candidate in 2028 who is willing and able to pull off a “Nixon goes to China” in order to win the presidential election.
By which I mean a nominee who has enough credibility around advocating for the safety and security of Israelis to give him or her political cover for taking a hard line against the genocidal policies of the Israeli government, if that makes any sense.
Because in order get elected as President, save American democracy, and stand any chance of ending Israel’s structural apartheid and systemic oppression of Palestinians the 2028 Democratic nominee for President is going to have to win the votes of most Americans for whom the self-determination of Palestinians is a higher priority than the safety and security of Israelis as well as the votes of a lot of Americans for whom the opposite is true.
It will never be possible for Americans who care about human rights and social justice to form any sort of coalition with those on the right-wing fringe like Nick Fuentes and Tucker Carlson on Israel-Palestine, or any issue, in spite of the fact that some of their specific polices on Israel-Palestine may be reasonable and right .
Because, much as you pointed out here with respect to Fuentes, Qasim, those on the right-wing fringe are virulent antisemites as well as hard core racists who have it out for both Jews and Palestinians.
Which means that it’s completely up to Democrats to figure this all out and come up with the right candidate. I have no idea who he or she is at this time, but I know for certain that it is not California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Forget feckless me Newsom…I’d like to see you interview mr know it all Ben Shapiro! That is, IF you could get a word in sideways! Part of his gas lighting strategy is to speed talk, dismissively. God help this world if the establishment Democrats don’t wake up to the fact that their liberal ideologies don’t justify their corporate takeover of the party and that whether one is a corporate Democrat or a corporate Republican he or she is just feeding the war machine and perpetuating the suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Ukraine and beyond.
Newsom is like a used car salesman. It’s his media team that we like so much. I can’t believe that in this year alone, I’ve become more disappointed with my own party than ever. The “opposition” is a joke. Schumer and Jeffries and the other centrists are disgraceful. In the face of fascists, they pretend they’re at a barbecue. Deeply saddened but at least I’m very clear about the definite sell-outs and chameleons, etc.
Newsom, my state governor, claims to be progressive but has turned out to be nothing but a hypocrite ever since he bought into the whole "ban Trans athletes" rhetoric and threw homeless people under the bus. We need a presidential candidate who actually cares about people and not lie through their teeth about it.
I fear the leaders in the Democratic Party have a very long way to go before they'll support a truly progressive candidate. I wish we could change that sooner. AIPAC and the endless money allowed in campaigns in general just makes these elections a joke. Muck gave Dump $300 M for his campaign.
Shapiro's shtick is browbeating using his machine-gun way of speaking to try forcing others to back down. Newsom behaved accordingly and embarrassingly in the interview, this a Democrat with pretensions to power who only showed his spinelessness, the signal characteristic of long-time members of the DP.
I keep seeing people say Gavin Newson should be the pick for presidentval candidate. But to me he is middle of the road, who only has the presence he has now because of his social media team (who are outstanding!). Denying the genocide of the Palestinian people should knock him out of contention. America needs new blood in the democratic party.
Lot's of zionists in California dear comrade. Newsom wants their $$$$$$ maybe even their vote.

Yep well said.

Then theres these:

The only remaining step to declare it a genocide is the ongoing ICC case.
I couldn't watch too much of it, but Newsom lies down and plays dead for Shapiro. Yes, feckless!! Even his body language, the somewhat limp waving of his hands around, shows he's trying to court the right wing.
Whoever is running Newsom’s social media is apparently a better candidate than Newsom himself.
Disappointing, to say the least.

Thank you, Thomas ❤️✊🏽

Well articulated and well argued, David.

He speaks fast and uses big words to sound smart but there's just no substance to his arguments. It's pathetic.
It’s that thing again are you gonna believe me or you’re lying eyes?

Indeed, we need someone who actually cares about human rights
