One of the things I’m trying to do on my Substack is imagine new ways of getting folks involved in direct actions that highlight the differences between what Democrats stand for and Republican cruelty. Would you be willing to read these articles and tell me what you think?

Does this letter have a typo? ...In FY 2023, nearly 6 million households received LIHEAP assistance, and the program restored power or helped prevent 2.76 million discounts.
Is this meant to say "disconnects" instead of "discounts"? Otherwise I'm reading something wrong into this.
How ‘bout if we simply tax the people who have created this problem by rigging the game. If Dems ever have a real leader and dominate Congress, they can accomplish this by raising minimum wage, implementing Medicare for all, and raising earned benefits (Social Security) by removing the cap. Of course, if Democrats really embrace liberalism, it would provide the perfect platform, assuming they care about people. I DARE THEM!
Thanks for the morning chuckle. I listened yesterday to your talk with the Palestinian lawyer. So horrific what continues to happen in Gaza and yet no mention in the media. I will contact my representatives, what else can we do? I see Central Kitchen is on the ground trying to help
Thank you for the calls to action, Qasim. I was once the recipient of help via the LIHEAP program decades ago, just some free weather stripping in a single mom’s rental, but it sure was appreciated. It was one small thing that helped me keep faith with American values. These programs help create good faith between citizens and our government, which is sorely needed now more than ever.
