Critical Recap: Let's Address This
This week in review, boosting a critical call to action, plus a new Dad Joke
Call To Action
Today’s call to action is to help your neighbor by raising your voice. While about ~35M U.S. households are eligible for federal energy assistance, only ~6.8M actually get the help they need. Now, Congress may cut that funding too, disproportionately harming the elderly and the disabled.
Help me send 200+ letters to Congress to DEMAND Congress protect energy assistance programs for low income Americans.
The above email takes 15 seconds to send. Let’s raise our voices for our neighbors.

Dad Joke of the Week
An Islamophobe emailed me claiming “Islam is Cancer” and I reminded them that actually, scholars believe the Qur’an was first revealed in December or January so Islam is likely Capricorn or Aquarius. :D #DadJokes

Best Dad Joke, yet! I need to laugh so I can stop being angry or crying! Thank you!💖☮️
Thank you for the calls to action, Qasim. I was once the recipient of help via the LIHEAP program decades ago, just some free weather stripping in a single mom’s rental, but it sure was appreciated. It was one small thing that helped me keep faith with American values. These programs help create good faith between citizens and our government, which is sorely needed now more than ever. Take a moment to join me in speaking up for those in need. Thank you.
