Thank you for this thoughtful conversation with three compassionate, knowledgeable men. Especially appreciated the discussion of the U.N.

Thank you Qasim for giving people a positive aspect against this fascism. This is not just an American issue it is global. Palantir needs to be taken seriously because they have their fingers in too many pies the world over. Russia and China must have jumped for joy when trump was elected because without his ability to get all the right wing nut jobs on his side we wouldn't be where we are globally. Since the Alaska fiasco and the Euro meeting in Washington, where he excused himself to phone Putin and ask him what he should do and say, so much of the intentions of the Republican Party have become apparent. They aren't cowed by trump they are emboldened. This is the America they want. To run a country on the same lines as Russia and china is their dream coming true. Yet as you say, the people have the final word on what we will accept as normal. The people are not accepting this and so there's hope. Thank you to your guests Lawrence and Nick too for showing that being pro Palestinian is not anti-semitic.

Qasim,

You mentioned that you live in Virginia last week. Why don’t you run against Mark Warner in the 2026 Virginia Senate Democratic primary? He has no compunction about facilitating Israel’s genocide of Palestinians, no ideas, no charisma, and no energy.

We need more Americans of good character to serve in the U.S. Senate.

First of all, I greet all three gentlemen. I am not American, I come from Croatia, which unfortunately supports fascism. This conversation is inspiring and gives me the hope that I am losing because of everything that is happening in Europe, and especially in Palestine. I am disgusted by the genocide that the Israeli government is carrying out with the wind at its back from Donald Trump. I have started to hate Jews even though I was not raised that way. Listening to these two American Jews and activists, my hatred is decreasing. And for that, thank you all three of you. Honestly, I feel that the beast called hatred has decreased. Please continue like this. If I listen to you in Croatia, they will listen to you everywhere - AND I CONSIDER THAT VERY IMPORTANT. I am sharing this podcast on my FB profile. Know that I have a friend, a young Palestinian man, and his family lost a 16-year-old relative yesterday. They are devastated.

How do Americans know which politicians to support to help end the genocide of Palestinians? Talk, talk, talk. No action. I keep donating, only to find blockades, murder, target practice, Israeli protesters, etc, preventing aid to be real.

It is said in the podcast if you listened carefully.

Not only did a Biden do nothing to stop Israel… neither did Kamala Harris and a huge part of the Democratic Party. And I was a big supporter of Kamala. Blindly believing was my mistake.

Regina Leeds's avatar

The Vice President can't have a major policy disagreement with the President in a public forum unless he or she is running for the office of President. The Democratic party seems to be cracking. To date, they have failed Palestinians.

We'll never know what Kamala would have done. She seemed a bit more open but the Israeli lobby is powerful. We need to remove their money and influence.Biden was a total failure where Gaza is concerned.

Sorry to reply just now to you. I realize that the VP couldn’t disagree with the President to begin with. But she could and Did Not when she ran for President! Making excuses for her is the way we lost the election. She had ample opportunity to allow those who were begging her and the Democratic Party to bring up the horrors taking place is Gaza… and she/ they did nothing. In fact they shoed away someone at the Convention who might have made a difference… if nothing else by opening the eyes of those of us who were beginning to ask questions and independently were seeking answers to what had been so deeply covered up by politicians and corporate media and of course AIPAC . How many in Congress and the Senate are and have been receiving thousands of $$$$ from AIPAC, be it Dems or MAGA/Repub. So, yes…Kamala Harris lost the election for not being brutally honest with those of us be it Jews, Muslims, Blacks, Latinos, Asian, Native Americans, whoever… we have a Right to Know and we would hope that the Candidate chosen to become President would understand what TRANSPARENCY means. I’m sorry to say I voted for her because I felt my other choice would come to destroy this Country of ours. That much I knew and still do to my core. This menace which is brutalizing not just those mentioned above but all People in this great nation, and the Workd… needs our wrath, rather like how peoples of so many countries in the world who have fought against despotic regimes and Nazis and brutal dictators have done. We have great minds trying for years now to teach us and to help us see. It seems though that many only care… choosing to go inward, and as usual “hope for the best.” There is no Best there is only the continuos destruction of our Democracy and Constitution.

(please listen to Judge Luttig)

Thank you for caring enough to possibly have a conversation. I don’t reply or write often… it kills me a little at a time to see the desperation and anger and frustration of us…I find selfishly, each day a blessing if I don’t respond or listen to the cries for help… they are soul destroying . Then I am reminded of our children through out the world. I can’t not do it. So I thank my Higher Power for giving me the strength to write…. for one more day I have a ‘purpose’… and I am grateful.🌸

Thank you Mr Rashid. I’m so thankful for you, your knowledge, the way you never give up, and your advocacy. I’ve also subscribed to the other two contributors/podcast now.

Thank you for the support to all of us Jennifer! I walked away from this interview with more hope than I have in a long time.

Regarding your new program, yesterday. I found the constant use of vulgar language hard to hear… perhaps I’m the only one being affected. So I would stop listening, to return a few minutes later, hoping crudeness was no longer needed… but it continued to the point that I stopped didn’t join.

In comparison this talk is being done respecting and considering your audience. It is so appreciated.

Nick Paro's avatar

Thank you for that great feedback, AnaMarie. There are definitely times when we get a little more vulgar than others — and we tend to contain that to our show, The Wizards’ Counsil, while most of our other shows follow this more straightforward approach.

Thank you for sticking with us on this show and hope you consider coming back for Banner & Backbone for our civic based content.

AnaMaria🌸's avatar

Thank you for being so very clear Qasim, your words speak volumes and Equally TRUTH.

Qasim has an incredible voice and his advocacy is going to play a pivotal role in shaping a better America for us all.

I find the air dropping of food an insult to the people of Gaza. It is only a Public Relations stunt… for the countries that are dropping this food!

Gee . . . a global choice against genocide! Next, you'll want to end world hunger. I have to say this tongue in cheek cuz it's such a WTF issue. When you give genocidal maniacs the weaponry and "backing" of the United States, do we really think Bibi will stop at Palestine?
