What keeps standing out is the same spiritual pattern under each ruling:
Power protects power, then calls the suffering of human beings a technicality.
The migrant becomes a paperwork problem. The cancer patient becomes a liability issue. The child afraid of gun violence becomes collateral. The asylum seeker becomes a border management inconvenience.
From where I sit, this is what happens when law is severed from mercy.
The owners of stores, malls, bars, restaurants, and other establishments and spaces open to the public can still prohibit firearms and other weapons on their property, by posting signs to that effect. Of course, to these six justices, the rights of property owners are paramount and there is no constitutional impediment, since no governmental action is involved. So, while I strongly disagree with the Court's ahistorical and absurd interpretations the Second Amendment (which expressly refers to the need for "a well regulated militia" in the context of keeping and bearing arms) this particular decision is not as bad as it sounds (but it could still get worse)

I have been volunteering with refugees at a local center that helps with the transition after refugee services. I have met so many wonderful people who add so much to our community. Everything happening with this regime has made me sick, and I worry about them all so much. I just can't understand the mindset that makes you see people who need help and turn them away.
Note the vote - 6 to 3 over and over again and I would bet this is the case in many more rulings by the current SC. We are back to where the court was in the days of slavery and then again in the days of the robber barons vs unionization. A miracle is the year the court ruling against separate but equal in 1954.
The Supreme Court is acting less like a court and more like a velvet-robed concierge desk for power. Immigrants, cancer patients, workers, children in public spaces, asylum seekers, all get told to wait outside while corporations and authoritarians are ushered into the good room with snacks. This is what happens when cruelty gets lifetime tenure and calls itself originalism. The law is supposed to protect human beings, not polish the boots stepping on them.

As the Court did with presidential immunity, I fear it will create law out of whole cloth over birthright citizenship. This Court is radical and reactionary, and must be completely reformed.
Amy Coney Barrett has cemented herself as a blatant racist. The rich white lady with the two black "look how wonderful I am so giving of myself and all I have" Haitian children. As she votes to expell legal Haitian in this country. Sending them straight back to hell. Feeling good Amy? Sleeping well at night Amy? Going to explain your racist white supremacist self to "your" kids? Oh I'm sure you rationalized this away and are secure in your superiority.
Absolutely appalling, they're just trying push non-white people out of the country, while also giving toxic people and criminals guns without knowing of the consequences! They need to be impeached!
Human rights and personal safety were trashed by the corrupt majority at the "Supreme Court" in every case. Now they are off to take extended vacations in luxurious and secluded places. Tell them not to bother to come back.
Tell them not to show their faces in the lawless, murderous society they have created. They will soon all have to live in fortresses to protect themselves from the criminals they have unleashed, both capitalists and survivalists....
