Citizen’s United must be overturned!

AIPAC can't buy votes. They buy advertising. Voters are adults with agency, not mindless drones. People vote for the politicians that do what they want. If AIPAC's politicians win, it's because the voters support it. I wish Americans saw that Israel is an has an evil, racist regime. But lots of Americans think the United States should be subservient to Israel. The United States is a democratic country. So is Israel. Israelis consistently vote to exterminate the native Palestinians. Americans consistently vote to exterminate the Palestinians. Hell, I voted for Kamala Harris. She speaks at AIPAC all of the time. If she had won, and we had found ourselves where we are today, I wouldn't be able to cry, "I didn't vote for this!" Nonsense. AIPAC runs both American parties. If you vote for either of them, you can't say you didn't know that the policy was going to be that the US will starve American children and kill Middle Eastern children so racist European colonists can live their religious fantasies out in Israel.

I'm from California, but this is so not cool.

How is this even legal?

This is so incredibly well-researched. Thank you for taking the time - AND SHARING IT WITH US ALL.

Thank you. And absolutely! I always want to bring the receipts.

In a fully corrupt political system, meaning one where office can be bought, what is the best position for a buyer to be in? It is to have an unlimited amount of money to spend and that is AIPAC.

"The Friends of the IDF" is an American money-raising group. I demonstrated against it at a Chicago fund raiser years ago and watched in awe as one exotic car after another arrived for valet parking. Over $1 million was raised at this one event.

According to an article in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, also a few years back, Friends of the IDF raises so much money that the IDF doesn't know what to do with it all.

Consider that all the money collected for "Friends" could easily be re-directed to AIPAC and yet it need not be since AIPAC is already flush. Consider that Larry Ellison, one of a number of American Zionist billionaires, has money enough to buy not just CBS, but the company that owns CBS, Paramount, and this simply for the purpose of making CBS news a mouthpiece for Israel. One man alone buying a giant corporation for a political purpose, one man.

We the people have only one thing in our favor, our numbers at the voting booth. Let no one reading this think for one second of not voting next week.

By the way, Kat Abughazaleh, running in IL-9, has said there should not be any billionaires. I hope I have made a case for that above.

Qasim Rashid, Esq.'s avatar

Yep well said. Abolish all billionaires. There are no ethical billionaires.

Aside from how they use their money, nobody should have the kind of power their money gives them. It is as anti-democratic as anything could be.

Reckless gambling must be encoded in the genome of homo not-so-sapiens. When you think about it - all those quasi criminal organizations AIPAC, crypto and big time gambling are themselves reckless gamblers pouring their unlaundered funny money into bets on thoroughly unreliable candidates, willing to sell their integrity for the burnt bowl of pottage of legend and lore. Don't these idiots know that investing in someone hunting for the highest bidder is going to end in catastrophe? I mean really? a POTUS who managed to drive a casino into bankruptcy? Do you really want to associate with such a loser? Sooner or later his criminal empire will collapse. Hope it takes his spawn of the devil kids with it.

This canNOT be Good . . .

This is a judgement call. If we are hurting so much, then how do you have money to gamble? Gambling is for people to throw money away. Paying rent, groceries, utilities, isn’t a fucking game.

Qasim Rashid, Esq.'s avatar

Gambling is also an addiction.

I cast my vote on Saturday and I'm relieved to find out that I didn't vote for any of these frauds. Unfortunately I'm in Bill Foster's district and he's running unopposed so I just left that box unchecked. He doesn't deserve my vote or anyone else's. Thank you so much for your detailed analysis. I wish I was in Blaha's district.

Jessica Johnson's avatar

I wish you and the people of Illinois the best of luck

Qasim Rashid, Esq.'s avatar

Yeah, I ran against Foster and didn't do as well as I'd hoped. He is just an objectively terrible human being. Thank you for voting!

Honestly, I've always thought you lost because of your name. I saw your name and wanted to see who you were because I love diversity in government (and everywhere else). The people out here are so Islamophobic and racist. We need people like you in government and instead we get these awful politicians that represent big corporations and Israel instead of the American people, our immigrants, genocide victims, etc etc etc. Thank you for everything you do

This is very helpful. One suggestion for the future..post this just before mail in voting starts. (I believe it started Apr 2nd in IL). I’m happy to say that I walked over my ballot to a blue box at the library and already received my confirmation that my vote was received. I am happy to say I avoided voting for anyone on your

This is excellent. I'm a New Yorker but it scares the stuffing out of me. Everyone needs to sit up and pay attention. Thank you.

Qasim Rashid, Esq.'s avatar

They'll absolutely do this in NY. They already did it last cycle to remove Bowman and replace him with an aipac puppet.

I am very concerned about Krishnamoorthi gaining this seat. He seems to be the only one advertising due to his enormous war chest filled up by AIPAC and other questionable sources. I hope people heed your advice, Qasim, as well as do more of their own research before voting. I did my due diligence before completing my early-voting ballot.

Look into Kevin Ryan in Illinois! Truly a grassroots campaign. I am truly impressed by his vision, people focused and service oriented.

Francesca Cee's avatar

I've only seen ads from Krishnamoorthi (and no one else) here in the Chicago suburbs. They make me so mad because I already know that he's full of it
