Everyone needs to read this article, right now. Neither the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party can be considered to be on the side of the people. And since our electoral system is set up to almost exclusively elect Democrats and Republicans, we must assume that no amount of voting will ever be enough to save our country.

We must act now. If we wait for November to "see what happens at midterms", we will be buying right back into the system that got us here, and we will seal our fate.

I have a different plan, and I've posted all about it this week on my newsletter. We must join together as one as the American people. We must cast off the party affiliations that have been ingrained into us and join hands with the people everyone has been telling us to hate.

I hope you'll check out UTW, Qasim, and see what I've been working on, and correct me in the places where I haven't seen the situation fully enough or where I'm lacking context. I consider you my (much more senior and more experienced) coworker, because you and I are working towards the same goal: the desperate, last-ditch effort to save America before we lose it entirely. I can't do this on my own. None of us can.

It is the 250th anniversary of independence, but electing presidents who act like kings is a big danger for the world. For us who was loyal Afghan allies and now abandoned in hiding, we see the results of unchecked power every day. If America want to revive its standards and break this bad cycle, leadership must start keeping promises to the people who shed blood for them.

There's a reason I'm calling my efforts to restore stability to America's political system "Unfucking The World".

So much of the bad shit that's going on in the world is the fault of either our actions or our inactions. When I worked in the tech sector, I learned that when you want to fix a problem, you first have to find the root cause.

We're the root cause. So I'm gonna do everything in my power to fix it.

You pointing out the previous presidential crimes, "does make me uncomfortable," especially the one you pointed out about Obama, .... BUT, Nixon's eternal punishment was that his name is soiled forever. Politicians lie, ... or shade the truth, ... always.

On the eve of our birthday, I want to CELEBRATE this extraordinary experiment we tried, and are trying. I will not sully my brain with trump and No Kings protest (which I do, protest at).

My celebration will be with my fellow Dripping Spring Democrats (Texas), a sign proclaiming AMERICA, OUT OF MANY, ONE, HOME TO US ALL. Small flag (a large one flies on the road where we live), blue dress, star headdress..... and my friends.

There are degrees -- Good-hearted Ford, tried to do the right thing for our country.

Power breeds corruption.

trump, the authoritarian, has taken it to heights, we couldn't have imagined. And the Supreme Court is to blame -- immunity? -- Sonya Sotomayer is a gem, as are the other two women, who stick by the Constitution and our values.

But trump has no values, no soul, no integrity. He wanted the presidency for the TITLE, same with the Peace Prize. And now we SEE, he wanted it for the money-making capacity. This is the lowest we've sunk ....... but We The American People, will take back our democratic republic.

We will, Martha, I agree. I refuse to contemplate any future in which the American people do NOT reclaim our republic, and so, working backwards, that means that we ARE going to rise up now, in 2026, because this is our last chance.

I hold to that belief with all the strength in my heart, and that's why I made sure to launch Unfucking The World now, in the week leading up to our nation's birthday. We are at our lowest now, but that also means that we, the American people, have more political motivation than we've had in the last 250 years. When we raise our voices this time, I and everyone in the UTW effort are going to do everything we can to make sure the walls keeping us from our future come tumbling ALL the way down.

Hamilton's description of a king describes Trump perfectly. We do have the tools to fight this. How amazing is it at this time NOW that we have great independent journalists and human rights advocates like you, Qasim. Truthfully, without you, I don't want to even imagine how bereft of hope i would feel, and surrounded by untrustworthy media. So. We could be much worse off! Thank you for this and all of your articles, Qasim ❤️

We must surgically remove feckless, complicit, corporate Dems and expand the Court

Probably up to the States to prosecute and bring accountability. Especially because of the SCOTUS stacked with the SCROTUM 6.

I'm not hopeful.

Everyone wants a hero to follow - so invariably time after time even the least overt are made into superheroes - when they won’t step up to own their transgressions…broken relationships with father figures perpetuates - just a guess - perhaps why women become targets never given a chance to do the right thing for the nation - but happy to see Mother Nature standing in opposition - reminding us of her undeniable power - not just symbolic - but a real force to contend - putting the heat on DC!

I really believe that Trump should be impeached, convicted and removed from office on bribery charges... it's hard to see how his pay-to-play administration hasn't committed financial crimes that would count as bribery. And then, despite the SCOTUS immunity, he should be criminally tried for the bribery charge on which the impeachment was based. As one of the two named crimes, it would be hard even for this Supreme court to read that sentence and conclude he was immune from prosecution for bribery if impeached and removed on that charge

U.S. Officials Believed Israel Was Plotting to Kill Iranian Negotiators

Any Israeli attempt to kill Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister, or Mohammad Ghalibaf, the Parliament speaker, would have derailed peace talks, American officials feared.

We have to fix this, gone on for too long. They are human beings, Wake the f- up!

Gaza has become frozen in 'humanitarian purgatory' — and it could get worse

No more Weapons for Israel, no AIPAC money etc.

It is sadly an imperfect system, but being imperfect, it has the strength and adaptability to survive change and abuse. We needed to demand more from those who claim to serve this system, but didn't, and now we must do so.
