So timely! So necessary! The upcoming mid-terms can and must be decisive for honest leadership as we seek to shed the yoke of DJT! Charging him with treason, along with his lying underlings, requires a super-majority in the Senate with a clear majority in the House. Thank you, Qasim Rashid, Esq.

Mr. Rashid, I had polio as a child, three months before the Salk vaccine was approved. I'm now paraplegic and use a power wheelchair for mobility. I can't walk, but I can donate (already have) and I can register voters (I'm already involved in voter registration. I'd appreciate your modifying the language you're using in your appeal, to be more inclusive. I am white, and have been a white ally of the Civil Rights movement since I was 17 years old, attending Lincoln University in Jefferson City MO (an HBCU) and a member of NAACP. Thank you for your work in organizing this march.

I've signed up for the first leg, and downloaded the required app. The app is asking for a campaign code which I have not received, nor do I know who to reach out to. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

I had the same experience, so I'm wondering if I need to sign up again since I originally signed up before the added details appeared on the website... Also, I checked out the distances between towns for the route, and on some days I notice that we will be walking over 50 miles. I'm up for a challenge, but is this physically possible? Even at a brisk 18 minute per mile pace with no stopping, it would take 15 hours to walk 50 miles, and you'd have to be in REALLY good shape to repeat that over 30+ days.

Yeah. I signed up a couple times just in case I mistyped my email the first time. I was planning on just one leg of the walk, but without info in a timely manner, I may not be able to do it bc I’ll have to take off work

Hi James and Leslie- I’ve run into the some of the same issues. I also signed up twice. Did you receive the campaign codes in an email last night? I’m assuming that some legs would have to require SAG vehicles and that the actual registering of voters might take local VDRs (volunteer deputy registrars) or the like, but maybe not- I haven’t researched voting registration requirements in the states where the march is taking place yet. (It is VERY restrictive to register people to vote here in Texas and there are many rules- SAVE act type voting requirements have already been in effect in Texas for a long time- it’s one of the reasons we are entrenched as a one party in power Republican state. Powered by People - Beto’s pac- has a handle on how to register voters here and seem to be making headway. But I digress). Also, since conversations will need to take place on streets and in public spaces to register voters (we must meet them where they are and not expect a non-voting population to come to us) maybe the walk is more like an effort to register voters within the towns identified and then we drive to the next town if it is very far, because the distance between some of the stops may not be physically possible, especially in the summer heat. Anyway, being from Texas where the norm is to take care of yourself- (we have like zero help here and don’t rely on the state or many orgs for much- church communities do most of the organizing and outreach care giving)- I am planning to drive and bring my car so that I can be self-contained in my needs and offer help to others also.

This is so inspiring! I live in Oregon and would love to come and march for some of the legs; signed up to participate and am hoping some logistical details will be forthcoming. Thank you for the work you do!

This is a fine opportunity to "comfort the troubled and trouble the comfortable"!

At 74 I no longer have a thousand miles in me - but I'll donate. Good work, Qasim!

I would love to come! I need more information on logistics - will that be provided when I sign up? Thank you for doing this, it’s marvelous!

Best wishes to you and the entire team undertaking this march. I will be cheering you on from afar in NYC. I hope you experience gentle weather, supportive onlookers and a calm but effective wind at your back. I made a donation which is the least I can do.

I am in the same boat! Would love to be in the March but I'm 72 and walking only with a crutch! So $ donation is my only way to help and given gladly! Best of luck and weather to y'all!!!

I sure would delay the start date until the fall. The weather in the South is brutal in August making it likely people will pass out walking along in the heat and humidity. Of course, this would be a reminder of what slaves had to endure in the bad old days.

The Civil Rights Museum in Memphis is a treasure and a perfect destination for the march.

Very true, Clif. The goal is to get people registered before the fall deadlines to be sure they can vote in the midterms this November.
