The concerted global campaigns by power mad, not very bright men, to strip rights and protection from women is an astounding and infuriating phenomenon. Over the 86 years of my life I have somehow managed to survive, brain more or less intact, to see all the progress made, so painfully, swept off the table at the hands of people, mostly men who have very little to contribute to life on earth and whose legacy will be an archive of lies, useless paper and digital media at which future generations will laugh.
It is appalling that of all the governments in the world, of all the millionaires and billionaires who could mount a significant relief/rescue effort to aid the suffering Palestinian people, it is two women who have the courage and strength of purpose and moral rectitude to put their lives on the line and make a stand. They put us all to shame.

I had not known about Ms. Rachel until my great granddaughter watched her. I think it is about time for white males to get over the fact that they are not the only competent people in the world. How narrow does your vision need to be to believe that story?
I read the phrase “oh to have the confidence of a mediocre white man” and it seems to be ever more apt. The patriarchy silences our voices because they know how powerful they are. Imagine if all women - of all creeds and colours - started supporting each other, and amplifying each other’s voices. What a difference that would make.
The most equal places in the world are ones in which women make up at least half the cabinet in government. Funnily enough, they are also highest on the list of the happiest countries.

There is precedent for Israel sinking a ship, and the entire world pretending otherwise. USS Liberty. Look it up. Even our own country failed to condemn this targeted and intentional act against our military. Nothing will stop the US and Israel from repeating history; therefore, we must all be watching.
It is well past time for governments to declare a no-fly zone over Gaza, defying Israel's government, delivering food, medicine, water, fuel and all other humanitarian relief to Palestinian residents.
That needs to be combined with an international force to remove West Bank invaders, so-called
"settlers", provide an effective armed interface against IDF agression, and recognition of Palestine as a nation.
