I knew none of the nine American names, nor Rachel, crushed.

I feel depressed, and can't watch the news ... not that non-action helps anything.

I’m well aware my American citizenship won’t protect me or my children the same as it protects a blonde blue-eyed woman born anywhere.

Excellent piece. I knew Israel had killed some U.S. citizens and faced no consequences. However, you have convinced me there are considerably more who’ve been killed. I also wasn’t aware of the number of children murdered, or the horrors visited upon the black man from the aid flotilla. I was shocked at the names of some of the senators, like Wyden and Cory Booker, who voted against stopping arm sales to Israel. Resistance to Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians is growing slowly but far too slowly.

Those Democratic Senators, who voted to continue to send arms to Israel, are on my never to be donated to again list, and they are disgusting to me. I have saved all their names.

It is deplorable that nothing has been done, regarding these 9 U. S. citizens. We know why. Racism and bigotry is running unchecked and rampant in our government. If these citizens names were John and Jane Smith, you can bet that there would have been action immediately.

I am getting more and more depressed with what is going on in our country and around the world. I fear that we might never return to our democracy and peace in the world.

netanyahu and trump need to be tried for crimes against humanity.

I don't understand why any American citizen would be in Gaza, except the journalists and World Kitchen worker.

Why would the parents of the children on the list expose their children to a war zone/killing field? As a mother, I tried to keep my children out of dangerous situations.

Regardless of the wisdom of placing children in unnecessary danger, American citizens deserve justice from their country.

Jodi, do you ask why Americans send their kids to birthright trips in Israel or serve in the IDF, or is that different?

I don't see Palestinians making Israel a killing pen, so if you choose to send your children to Israel, there's a good chance they will return alive.

I don't think anyone but Israli citizens should be in the IDF.

Oh. I thought it’s a WAR between Israel and Palestine, which would make Israel unsafe, as American Jews have been claiming. 🙄

A war would be between 2 military powers. This is genocide.

None of our media uses the term genocide. All of them call it a war.

This is also white supremacy in action. Media filled top to bottom with white nepo babies.

I thought the vote by Dems was 27-17 with 3 (cowards, especially Slotkin, who has taken approx $500K from AIPAC, knows what Israel is wrong, but can’t bring herself to take a stand for the US and humanity) not voting? And the list of the “20” who voted for continuing to arm Israel lists 16 Senators? I’m on a mobile phone, is this the reason for the list being cut off maybe?

I'm surprised to see Ron Wyden, Alex Padilla, and John Warner on the list. The rest don't surprise me at all, and that's very sad. I can't believe they prefer money to lives.

There is something wrong with "liking" this kind of news, but I like that you are doing it. WHAT does Israel have on this country????? I guess if you leave US borders, you're on your own. Then again, for many Americans and those legally seeking citizenship within the borders, God only knows how safe too many are not. The world has gone crazy. To what end?

What does it have on the USA: intelligence. Israel has made a business of setting up intelligence, even serving as IT for organizations like the NSA. Too many books have been written covering this blatant conflict. Check out "The Puzzle Palace" and "The Shadow Factory: The Ultra-Secret NSA from 9/11 to the Eavesdropping on America" by James Bamford.

I had no idea these travesties occurred with such regularity. Thank you for sharing.

I am also once again, desperately disappointed that both of my state senators remain complicit in Netanyahu’s insanity.

The USA and other large economies are practising a policy decision it made with their people but just didn't put it in writing. It's simply pure hypocrisy. If it blows up in their face they act on it, but only enough to slide out of the shit avalanche. They are at this moment trying to slide out of that avalanche again by condemning Israel but not to the point where they will stop arming them. Also they are delaying making it official until September at their G7. By then it will be too late. Yet they'll say "We tried." Let's face it, most of the dead aren't white Americans so they don't count as equal to what Americans feel they have to defend. One white man will be ignored because to act on it will open up a whole can of worms when they ignore the other non-white Americans.

Thank you for this. I usually approve of Ron Wyden, who is my Senator, but this is NOT all right with me. I will contact him and let him know that this issue is important to me and will influence future votes on my part.

My friend who is an international reporter says her colleagues that go to Palestine keep getting killed by Israeli military action. The military always claims it was a tragic accident or imply the journalists recklessly put themselves in harm's way during an operation, but the journalism community has smelled the bullshit for years. They flat out don't trust the Israeli military not to murder them on purpose, but they go and report anyway because the world needs to know.
