Salaam! Thank you for this podcast - first time listener(though have followed you on here!) Dang, even as a former Catholic it makes me CRINGE and get so angry about these “christian” cultists who weaponize a guy who was very progressive for his time and would be currently be deported. Also as an almost 20 year cancer survivor I can say that this horiffic shit regarding healthcare has been going on a long time - and I realize that even though I’m Sicilian 2nd Gen have a lot of privilege - especially with a Jewish maiden name (long story that will be on my Substack) I DIGRESS - I ran into hours and hours of dealing with insurance companies who were insane about covering a clinical trial I was on. I know close cancer friends who have died not being able to continue treatment, and also 2 diabetics that couldn’t afford insulin, and one that died waiting for a new organ (they were young and fit the criteria back in the late 90s). It will get worse… Also I let my son swear today (9 also, we are both AuDHD) and he picked this to say - “DjT is a shitty racist person” and I’m kinda proud of that ;) Though he also knows that there is no president that has been fair, equal, and non-destructive. We learned about Capoeria today and I am learning Tatreez with my Muslim friends. He won’t grow up with a narrow biased bigoted view and knows we all have to take care of each other, sometimes even the “mean people”. I hope he will be a light in the world, not a dimmer.
