I beg to differ. All racism and hatred are wrong on all sides. Given the Israeli hostage situation, continued bombing and starvation in Gaza and a proxy war with Iran, things are tense here and abroad. People are stretched to be compassionate to non-combatants and simultaneously fight terrorism. NYCers have not forgotten 9/11.
It’s Mandami’s social democratic ideas that I like and fear. His religion/ethnicity are immaterial.The GOP will attack those ideas with a vengeance. We do not want another Rudy Guilliani (or worse) as mayor of NYC.

Thank you for the podcast. Every democrat needs to realize, this journey to build a coalition to defeat MAGA needs people from all walks of life and viewpoints. That’s the problem with typical democrats these days. They discriminate against people in their own party rather than being inclusive and welcoming, accepting and patient.
Rally together all of these new voices and let’s right the ship, defeat MAGA first. The infighting and local issues can be worked out once we regain our power to fight and win against the soulless evil that is MAGA. We can’t require a litmus test to be in our party. We need leaders and people that can support those leaders, even though they may not agree with them 100%. If we all agree what’s happening in our country is wrong, let’s start there and come together. Not divide because maybe you don’t like men playing in women’s sports or whatever. If we let those issues, while valid, divide our party and ability to gain power, we will never be able to work on those very same issues because we will have no recognizable county to call home and the elite will make us all their bitches. 🙏🏼
