THIS is why, as soon as I could afford to subscribe, at a discounted rate, I jumped at the chance to subscribe to Let's Address This. I am a political news junkie (I need to find a support group) I no longer have cable and it's hard to pay for it just to get Rachel Maddow. There are so many great Substack platforms but yours is the one I am usually taking notes on. I need to take notes to remember things...it's not an age thing; I've done this since HS. I would love to subscribe to all, but living on a Social Security check and only getting to take out yearly withdrawals from my IRA I am really careful where my money goes. Qasim, your emails are the ones I look forward to, because I KNOW I'm going to learn something important, and I share the items on Bluesky and Facebook. Thank you so much!

This is great. I’m trying to uncover media polarisation, come and check it out.

Corporate media didn’t lose trust by accident. It kept mistaking proximity to power for journalism and wondered why the public smelled the cologne. Independent media works because the deal is simple: tell the truth, show the receipts, or the readers leave. Blessed are the writers who don’t need a ballroom seat to know where the fire is.

I like the eye-catching new logo!

The Rise of Independent media! Thank you to all writers who all have endured the atrocious trolling and threatening messages for telling the truth. This is a sign of your importance but it should not be allowed without vigorous attempts to root out and arrest the perpetrator’s. I know many are foreign sources but we all know the sacrifices you and others make to keep us informed. You are our connection to shreds of democracy.

And thanks for the story on yet another arrogant ass-Kevin Warsh at Senate hearings. Incompetence is a resumé must for a GOP Fascist Admin candidate.

Finally..loved the Dad joke and your wife’s clever add-on. 😄

You established trust with me the first time I read your work, Qasim.

These guys knew that indie media aren't held back by restrictions like their corporate media, thus giving them the freedom to tell any story they want and expose their corrupted BS. So they're doing all they can to silence it.

Independent media and journalists with integrity are vital in these times. I’m really thankful to have found Qasim and Let’s Address This. I don’t watch corporate media anymore, I used to watch CBS! I now watch PBS and read a few Substacks that I find really informative.

It's great you are going to celebrate with other independent journalists. You are definitely more than just a journalist though. Thank you for your endless work for human rights and highlighting sitting Congress and the candidates running. D doesn't mean Democrat! Unfortunately Warsh fits right in with the current administration.

Thank you Qasim. Not only do you help keep us informed, you point us to others that inform us too. You really stand out in this regard and it’s appreciated.

Thanks Qasim. 28% finally a number I can grin about.

Thanks Qasim! Can’t wait to hear about the independent media events. Don’t know Bill Foster but my bet is he knows exactly what he’s doing & is on the side of Schumer.

Yes, very exciting. Can't wait to hear all the details!

Today’s post is so important!

Politicians and the journalist report reporting on them should not be fraternizing. A point that I never thought about and is, in reflection, not objective. Thank you for pointing this out.

My second concern is while there is international and national posts such as yours, there are few, if any local news posts. I learn local news and happening now by gossip which is usually after the fact because I don’t have time to check so many different sites for town board meetings, school board meetings, environmental meetings, political events, etc. This at one time was all listed in weekly happenings in my local newspaper(which doesn’t exist any more).

This is exactly why we are expanding on the state level. Let’s Address Illinois and Let’s Address Texas are our first two states. 48 more to go!

Your support is making this possible. Thank you ❤️✊🏽
