WILDFIRES They thrive on low level tinder such as dried up bushes. It is tedious and expensive to do this but it helps to keep the forest floor clean. Also, it is beginning to look like fire prone dry areas *such as L. A.) need to have much bigger water reservoirs for fire fighting. Expensive, yes, but cheap compared to the financial devastation we are seeing now, and may well see again.
