On this week's episode I welcome Iranian American political commentator Ariana Jasmine to discuss VP Harris, the French Olympic hijab ban, & fact checking Netanyahu
Thank you so much for having Ariana Jasmine on your show. I am a older white woman and my comment is possibly off topic. I have had a long career in a very public arena and I have never ever heard one woman say anything negative about the very “innocent” hijab. This is a man’s doing. I also hope your audience is patient with Kamala’s official position as regards this horrific war.
It is so weird and yet I understand it. In France, Muslim women demonstrate because they can't wear the hijab and in Iran women demonstrate because they are forced to wear the hijab. Obviously, it is not about the hijab, it's about FREEDOM!!
If I were in France, and a school teacher, I could not wear the cross I always wear. It is just stupid carrying secularism so far.
On the other hand, I can understand that if you are in a government job dealing with the public, having your face covered would be inappropriate. In interactions with other people, most humans like to see the face of those humans they are dealing with.
Thank you, Qasim, for saying we need both a secure Israel, and a secure Palestine.
Arab states and entities have repeatedly attacked Israel since before it was a State. Arab leaders rejected attempts to form true states in both 1948 and in the 1990s.
But I have learned - through what I consider objective Jewish sources - that Israel also pushed Palestinians off their own land, even in 1948, to assure a Jewish majority.
We can’t keep this war, repression, and persecution going! Most human beings do NOT want to live this way!
I amJewish and support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish homeland. But I do NOT support plans to wreck, depopulate, and destroy Gaza - and I don’t support the West Bank settlers’ attacks on Palestinian settlements either!
The Occupation is untenable! The only solution is a two state solution.
And I was proud of Rashida Talib standing there at Netanyahu’s speech with a sign that clearly said “War Criminal.”

Agreed. Thank you for being a voice for fairness and justice.
