Can the biometrics used possibly be collected by other groups who might use info for wrong reasons?

This would be great, BUT the repubs already LIE about us stealing elections, so this will take a lot of push & persuasion.

Concern are the disposable phones. How do you confirm you are a legal voter if you buy a $29.99 disposable phone?

This is so cool!

Benefits workers, parents, handicap folks, etc. I would use this! I love the idea of scanning my realID license, in addition to biometrics/face conformation.

Also, I laughed way too hard about the flying cars novel, not exactly what I was expecting from Bradley. 😂

I hope this works but if it may take a decade to institute how do we know it can't be hacked? Technology moves at warp speed, this is why I'm a little pessimistic.

Healthy skepticism is absolutely needed to ensure this is done right.

I love the idea, but it isn't going to be the answer for everybody. No smart phone, malfunctioning phone or service, countless other things could get on the way. There should be a way to do it from a PC as well, and vote by mail should stand as well. Since the pandemic, it's all I've done and if there are drop boxes you don't have to worry about the USPS either. Both parties will fight it, but the Republicans especially. Trump has them convinced that mail in and Dropbox voting doesn't work. In Oregon it's how all voting is done, and it works. Older folks like myself will have problems with authentication and proving we are who we are. But a new way to vote in addition to mail and dropbox is a good thing.

Agree - I want to be clear that this isn't to replace current voting options, but to add as an additional option. And yes, absolutely should be available from a computer.

And who owns the phone companies now. I seem to remember that Musk has three of our phone companies right now

Well I don't believe this would be a safe way to vote. After all we never know who has control over any of our electrical equipment.

We do discuss security and authentication. It's a secure system that can be checked in real time by open source access, meaning it keeps your vote confidential and private while ensuring everyone can check to ensure there's no fraud happening.

Maybe we shouldn't be so secret about our vote. That would get rid of the lies and liers

Yes!! Especially since they are already rigging the elections! We need to find a fair safe way to vote. Rigged elections are right out of the fascists playbook!

Yes and when you can't trust some of the people counting the balads like the woman who stole ballots and voted for Trump on all of them. What's not to trust. If anything there should be a representative from each party. Each vote needs to be registered with each on their own count in front of each other and two security officials takes that vote away. This could be done and guaranteed no cheating. That's what is needed. A way there can be no cheating.

We know most don't like Trump but I swear if that miserable excuse runs for a third term and they say he wins everyone is going to know he cheated.

I don't think the app is exclusive to apple, and would work all the same on Android as well.
