Thank you again for your eloquent rebuttal. The WP Op-ed piece is pure gas lighting. It makes me think Bezos is in the Epstein Files because he is clearly helping to attack DT enemies. Again, this rebuttal is a cogent masterpiece.

The washed up post is CORRUPTED and UNRELIABLE.

THEY'RE A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE FACT THAT ALL CORPORATE-OWNED MEDIA ARE CORRUPT.

The WaPo editorial was pathetic and deserved this lambasting, Qasim. It's worth noting, too, that the headline referring to "drop[ping] the mask" is offensive... and perhaps Islamophobic. The one thing the editorial didn't do is include an (unfounded) accusation of antisemitism. But I won't award them any prizes for the fact that the editorial could have been even worse.

Wild how “Democracy Dies in Darkness” turned into “Dim the lights for the donors.” You walked the Post’s take into the sun and it evaporated on contact. The class war did not begin Tuesday. It began the day billionaires decided rent should rise faster than pay and called it the market.

This was so well-written!!! I only wish it could be printed in letters to the WaPo editor. So so glad I subscribe to your substack. Keep speaking truth to power. Former NYer here—- and have not felt this hopeful since 2008.

Bravo, Qasim!!

As someone who lived through the Watergate era, it's hard for me to see that the Washington Post has fallen so low. You refuted their drivel powerfully, with receipts.

I can’t stand the Washington post now that it belongs to the new billionaire asshole! I read that fake comment about not endorsing Kamala Harris too !

Everything about this piece was either laughably asinine or disgustingly oligarchic. Bezos and his troupe of MAGA/Zionists can all just go on back to the underworld. If you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem.

The WP is a useless rag. I stopped reading it two years ago. I understand that it is important to educate the poor souls still relying on corporate media for their news, thus the "heavy lift." This free publication frequently shared and reposted outside of Substack is how I know so much about you. I will continue to send it to my peeps.

What the WaPo propaganda machine hurled out about Mayor Elect Mamdani is so shameful and full of lies! Quite nauseating, as well!

WOW...The Washington Post has fallen SO low. They have to look up to the gutter. So incredibly sad. Thanks for taking the time to craft this rebuttal and for pulling the truth out of the darkness they created at the Post, the darkness that they hope to see Democracy die in. My partner and I, and even my two daughters when they were school age and lived with me used to read the Post daily...now we cannot be bothered to give them one dime. Bezos is a tool.
