I am so very sorry Mr. Qasim. He is forever in peace by God's Grace. I'm 27 years old and a few days ago we had the anniversary of my grandfathers's death who also died surrounded by his children and grandchildren. One article cannot give his life justice but this is a beautiful hommage. He was indeed a great man.

Thank you very much for sharing about your father. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am fascinated to read about his life and impact on the world. What a wonderful spark and inspiration for all of humanity, and for you to continue on that legacy must be such a tremendous honor. It must give you such pride to do so.

Having nearly lost my own father last year, I have reflected deeply on his and my mother's influence on my life. For all the people and things I wanted to be growing up, I've come full circle to realize that the people I wanted to be most like were my parents. Having a wonderful parent or parents is an invaluable gift. I think in my younger years I may have taken that for granted and will never do so again. I'm glad for you that you have had such a wonderful family upon which to have built your foundation in life, and continue their extraordinary service to humanity.

thanks for sharing.

my father died last oct. before he died he was calling out he needed to talk to me but by the time I was able to get word and call back he had slipped into a coma and I never heard why he wanted to talk to me. he had been somewhat for several years and hadn't talk much to anyone so it was sort of a shock to everyone he was calling for me specifically.

I will never know what he wanted to say and it is hard. but my condolences, it's hard for everyone,so many things we never said we should have said while they are alive.

I am sorry for hearing that you have lost your loving father. Allah the Great may offer him Heaven and God said we should be patient for this calamity. He is between the hands of a forgiving God, and proud we are in Ramadan, so he is blessed.

Qasim, I am still thinking about this beautiful tribute and have decided that if it's okay with you, I would like to "adopt" your father as my inspiration. I am just so impressed with him. He's just what I need in my life. I hope to do right by him.

Such a beautiful tribute to a life well-lived in service to others, and an example for us to follow. I love that your message is the common humanity we all share regardless of religious beliefs. I made a donation to honor your father’s memory and to continue the charitable work so needed in West Africa. Thank you for sharing such heart-felt words. Peace and love to you and your family.

Qasim, I was finally able to sit down and read your post about your father. I am so sorry for your immense loss. On a personal note, I was surprised to read that he died from PSP. My brother in law also passed from PSP 4 years ago. I had never heard of it before Willis was diagnosed but I helped my sister in law nurse him at home in his final two weeks and it is a brutal disease. I am sorry for that pain. Thank you for your beautiful words about your dad, they inspire and give me hope. As a retiree on limited means, rather than donate to your Father's favorite Charity, I am going to upgrade my subscription , because I know how proud he must have been for all you are doing, and I look forward to more wisdom from you. Holding space for you and your family in your grief.
