Liz Plank and I do a deep dive in the Epstein Files, the likelihood that Trump (and Democrats) are in them, and the broader commentary on how willingly our structures uphold misogyny.
I think men feel lonely because 1) White American men tend to DO with men and TALK to women. They tend not to have personal conversations with other men the way they do with women (married men tend to say their best friends are their wives, while married women name another female friend); and 2) in the past couple decades, women now outnumber men in college and post-BA programs and the pay gap has slightly narrowed, so men are having trouble finding women who are "below" them, who need their protection, etc.
On Biden and Harris, I think Biden thought he handed the nomination to Harris on a platter (he essentially passed on to her his 14 million primary votes to her) and so felt he could say to her "no daylight between us." But I'm not sure she would have been much better on Gaza than he was; I believe she's an AIPAC money taker too.
Despite felon President being unable to discipline his own predator tendencies,to be a young girl now must be terrorizing anywhere being in the grips of Christian nationalism supremacy. Or in most religions with no middle space for men women harmony. If religions or parents can’t teach young people how to grow and trust himself /herself, a political party candidate or elected official certainly is not a role model.
Thank you for your comments on Biden. I've always had a problem with him. I'll never ever forget when a reporter asked him a guestion about helping the Palestinians. He turned with the Biden mean-squint look and shot out "NO!" (No to giving aid to them.) I will not defend him just because he's old and a Democrat. He STUBBORNLY refused to back down on a second run. When Kamala HAD to say she would not change a thing from the way Biden was doing things--that was the final nail in her coffin as a candidate. Thanks a lot, Joe, now Trump is president!
He also entered the 2020 race (in 4th place) and magically won the primary (I don't think so). He said at the time, "I will be a one-term president." I guess his ego and a little dementia made him forget that.
How interesting & convenient it was to get Buttigieg (who was about even with Biden at the time), Klobuchar (who was still competitive) & Steyer (who had just come off a pretty good showing in the South Carolina primary) to withdraw from the race just before Super Tuesday so that Biden had all the moderate vote to himself to compete against Bernie & Elizabeth.
I read a ProPublica report today about the billionaires and the tech moguls teaming up to falsify the voting results in the 7 swing states in 2024. So it wasn’t Biden’s age or Kamala’s gender or any of the reasons that have been proposed for the outcome. Trump stole the election. And he needs to be ousted from his stolen position as President.
Everything he does -- all his appointments & executive orders -- are illegitimate & should be rescinded immediately & Kamala placed as the lawfully elected President.
I've read a lot of stuff, too, Betty. I was blown away to think Trump could win the first time, much less be the come back kid. If that's the case, Trump will unite the country AGAINST him, and maybe-just maybe--democrats will start being liberals (in the true Thomas Paine way).
I loved your comment, Qasim, about looking inward for answers.. All the answers lie within. Society teaches us to look outward. Hence, the epidemic of loneliness and dysfunction we face as a species. If there really is an identity problem for young men, it's a good sign. Once enough of them look in a mirror and decide what they want, things will change.
And, one more thing: Tucker Carlson or MTG saying something that makes sense to the left is like a broken clock still being right twice a day. A zebra doesn't change his stripes. Be prepared for lots of "republicans" to pretend to change parties, then turn into "moderates" and screw up everything if elected.
Stay REAL. It will win (unfortunately, Trump's base believed he was).
Thank you for this critical conversation. Please keep having them. I appreciate you getting to the root of tge problems in our country. namely Secidm, Mahogany, The Pariarchy, Racism and the like on both sides of the political isle. Until we address the root problem of a complete lack of morality that is accepted and passed down from generation to generation, the symptoms of the problem will continue, including the worst of the worst of human behavior of dehumanizing our fellow human.

Biden's old school, and age, showed in his treatment of Harris. Clinton won the popular and lost due to the Damned EC. But face it, there are men and women who will never vote for a women, especially of color. And they 're not all old. Gen Z. ZZZZZ
Some males, if they aren't constantly " on top" in control, unable to do anything they want cry and whine. This is what they see Rich F@#! do. Why can't they? Poor 👶.
Ehhhh. I think men are pretty terrible irrespective of religion. State atheist china is consistently among top 3 in abuse of women. Let’s not excuse abusive men by blaming religion. Men need to be accountable on their own for their own actions.
It makes them worse when they cloak themselves in any religion. I just find the Monotheists the worst. I'm an atheist. So to me, all religions are wrong and right. Raised a Presbyterian in the Southern US.
Thank you. And I certainly agree with you that men exploit religion a LOT to oppress women. I suppose my broader point is irrespective of religion, men are exploitative, and that's ultimately the solution here--reforming men.
I just got back from solo travels, and posted a car photo with my husband (who looks like an Indian version of that CEO) captioned “Marked safe from being cheated on at a Coldplay concert today.”
Happy birthday to you, Qasim!

But she would have been orders of magnitude better than Trump on virtually everything.
Else. Yes

From USA Today: The tech CEO who went viral after being caught on camera at a Coldplay concert has resigned, according to his now-former employer.

Thank you for tuning in. We absolutely will continue to elevate these convos.
Afraid that a young Muslim winning will mean that their days are numbered. Change scares most groups. The Old Days of NYC, No Black's, No Irish.
If Mamdani loses, I'm buying stock in guillotines.

Monotheistic religions help foster the abuse of children and women. Male dominance. What is enough?
