We need to stop giving these media corporations any attention.

Lack of in-depth analysis by Time Magazine about Trump's win was not the only problem. A Time executive's fawning statement about working with Trump made it so much worse and made me question what the real criteria was for choosing him.

Oh you're absolutely right. I was trying to be brief in my comment to get the point across, but you're exactly right that the problems with their approach are many and all of them reckless.

Welcome to the fascist oligarchy. This is what it looks like. Suppression of the facts, skewed reporting and omission of complete content.

Joe and Mika weren't looking to "reset" or find common ground. They were making nice, kissing the ring, or however you want to put it, so that they, their show, and their network could stay out of the crosshairs.

I actually really enjoy many of 5he msnbc hosts, especially Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Lawrence O'Donnell. I haven't been watching, not because I don't like them anymore, but because it is just too painful. I imagine other msnbc viewers feel the same (as well as disgusting at Joe/Mika and msnbc/NBC mealy-mouth reporting on much of politics).

The three you named have been solid to great (Joy) but yeah overall its wild how much corporate media has capitulated.

Thank you, Qasim, for being honest and thorough -- it means a lot to those of us who don't get

all the details.

Thank you for the suggestion—just subscribed! I also love the Tangle Newsletter (https://www.readtangle.com/) for a single political issue of the day discussed from all sides.

Thanks for the shout out re. Ground News!...never heard of it before but now've paid up for it; a really interesting presentation of articles with bias and factuality expclitly reflected.

Qasim Rashid, Esq.'s avatar

Excellent! Yeah they do great work and my view is we need to elevate the things in media that are working to drown out what isn't.

I want them to pull from more sources. Hindustan News? Never heard of it.

Qasim Rashid, Esq.'s avatar

Agreed more sources is better. I believe they are expanding on an ongoing basis.

I think the newspapers and TV news outlets are afraid that The Fapweasel will shut them down if they speak harshly about him. He is afraid of them, so he is trying to to shut them up, but he does enjoy seeing his picture in the paper. The first time The Fapweasel was president, The NY Times would try to put stories about him below the fold, a less desirable location, kind of an inside dig.

The compliance in advance is incredibly harmful. Helps no one. Hurts everyone. If they think by complying he'll go "easier" on them, they're in for a very rude awakening.
