Qasim, thank you for your actions, not only words. I appreciate the list for non-immigrants of how they can help their immigrant neighbors. I also have photographed the 287g agreement on my phone, how to repeal, so I can take action at the next town council meeting, speak up, and speak directly to my Rep.

SAVING THE COUNTRY FROM TRUMP

Everyone has to help get the word of mouth out to the people who don’t have social media.

If you want to get rid of Trump then we have to get the Democrats the majority. The DOJ has sealed files implicating Trump in multiple rape cases against children. Those files are the key to having Trump impeached.

The Democrats want those sealed files released. Make sure you vote for Democrat representatives in 2026. OTHERWISE TRUMP AND HIS CORRUPT NETWORK WILL CONTINUE THEIR DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA

FOR NOW ——-///-

Everyone has to educate their House and Senate representatives about Trump raping women and children. Everyone has to educate them that Trump is doing everything in his power to cover that up. Almost everyone in Trump’s network has previously helped him cover up his crimes against women and children. Call, write letters and emails to your representatives.

There are a few representatives that don't know how evil/corrupt Trump and his network actually are. Almost all of the republicans know. They are just such lowlifes that they are more worried about losing their jobs than doing the right thing.

THE EPSTEIN/TRUMP FILES HAVE TO BE RELEASED. That’s how we get Trump impeached.

H.R. 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act has to pass for that to happen.

Don’t let the Republican representatives convince you they voted for this. THAT’S A LIE. They voted for H.R. 668 intended to clear Trump’s name from the sealed files.

Republicans are nothing more than paid voters

THIS IS A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY

Thank you for your help. This is great info about 287g agreements, and other local agreements which we can act on here immediately, along with our local airport/airline. An airline landing there now has a new contract for deportation flights. Although the airport swears no deportation flights travel through our airport TODAY, the presence of the airline makes that escalation more possible. THANK YOU for this reference info contained in one document. It is so easy to use this way!!

Your column prompted me to find out if Michigan (where I live) has any agreements with local law enforcement - and to my surprise it does. I quickly put together a column about Michigan’s involvement (ICE is in Michigan) and used your column as a reference and encouraged my readers to read your column for all the important details. Thank you again for your important work.

Thank you so much for living out your activist values like this, attending protests and in this instance, attempting to get clarity about an ambiguous directive to “move back”. We witness so many arbitrary orders and abuses of power.

I appreciate your suggestions concerning immigrants’ rights as well. As an attorney, have you always been able to assist clients once they’ve been detained by ice? I just wonder if someone is picked up/kidnapped by ice and refuses to disclose personal info or answer questions before speaking with their attorney, whether this refusal to speak may be used as a way to ‘disappear’ them indefinitely? For example, if ice does not allow them to call an attorney, how can their family then locate them? It seems that this silence could be a way to funnel undocumented immigrants into the newly constructed work camps. Also, does an immigrant need to “show papers” on demand to agents in masks who do not properly identify themselves? There is such abuse that my heart sinks and I constantly fear for the vulnerable.

I have a question about a different kind of advocating against the facilities. Do you have advice as to learning which companies are contracted to do work there - so that our activists in Florida can write, call, boycott, etc?

Excellent article as always, Qasim! 🩵 I’m wondering if we see ICE kidnapping someone what steps we can take to intervene rather than remain passive bystanders? Recording on phones seems like one option though additionally I’m curious how one would approach ICE and what questions to ask them, what to do if they yell at/threaten you/tell you to go away, etc. while they are harassing and kidnapping someone? From a legal standpoint, also, how to know our rights and the rights of the person being kidnapped and advocate for them in that situation?

Thank you for this invaluable lay-out of information. For ALL you do – your incredible commitment and care to the cause of justice. The list of 287g agreements is chilling. Far too many, and they continue to sign. WHAT are they doing?? And WHY?!

Thanks for this knowledge, Qasim. Unfortunately, there is one of those ridiculous 287g agreements in place in the toxic red good-ol-boy bubble where I reside. I’ve just given it my first read thru, and it speaks 1000% to what you just said. We’d all do well to follow your advice and share it with our neighbors. ☮️☮️

Thank you for documenting this, Qasim! ❤️ That was chilling in your video how the police officer wouldn’t answer the question: “Before 9pm, where can we stand?” I think eventually she said, “You can’t be here!” -and she kept repeating that protesting is from 9am to 6pm. That feels unconstitutional to me. If we are to have First Amendment rights, we should be legally able to protest at any time. Heck, if we want to protest at 3am we should be able to! Perhaps I’m missing something since my background is not in law. But it just seems wrong to tell people they can only protest at certain hours of the day!
