I am most grateful to you for the information and analysis in this post; however, I have one point a disagreement: the use of the term holocaust. It is a religious term meaning a sacrifice to a deity. There is nothing about this genocide or the genocide of the Jews in WWII that should ever be characterized as a religious act.
Since October 7th, the IDF has targeted journalists attempting to document this genocide but it's the doctors & other healthcare workers returning from Gaza that have become an undisputed mouthpiece of Israel's atrocities: against civilians, particularly children and at least 1400 healthcare workers who have been killed there. These doctors have also debunked Israel's lies about Hamas hiding in hospitals!
In the last year plus, I've been in touch with several people in Gaza, who have told me it's not Hamas stealing aid, it's "thieves" who operate under the protection of the IDF. They've seen it with their own eyes. You can't believe one single thing an Israeli military spokesperson says.
I am totally against bombing hospitals, even if Hamas is hiding in them. This is something Israel should not do. So what *should* Israel do about Hamas? Conduct an exactly proportionate, tit-for-tat retaliation? Seems like that will lead to a never ending horror, that is, what we have now. I am not suggesting that Israel should escalate or engage in the atrocities they have been committing. I honestly don't know what Israel is supposed to do when Hamas attacks civilian gatherings.
I wish our so called ‘Human Rights Lawyer’ PM would see it your way but he is choosing to be blinded by Zionism and fully complicit in this genocide. May he be sentenced in The Hague with all the other war criminals that have aided Israhell. Thank you for shining a light on these lies and horrors we, the west are enabling.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya was arrested by Israel after they forced the Kamal Adwan Hospital to evacuate where he was also director. For weeks if not months they claimed he was not in their custody. Even though they were filmed abducting him and several others that refused to leave patients behind. When eye witnesses saw him in an Israeli prison he had been charged as an “unlawful combatant”. I don't know what that means. In Gaza, Hamas is by any definition lawful and are expected to defend themselves. But if their claim is that this doctor is Hamas. They should then have to explain why he didn't evacuate? They claim there is Hamas tunnels under every hospital. So why didn't he save himself. Would Hamas willingly let themselves be caught?

How is it we have provided Israel with the highest level most up-to-date technologies and intel yet they cannot figure out how to get detailed images of the underground tunnels that are inhabited by Hamas fighters or determine with greater exactitude the locations of Hamas "command centers"? Is there any evidence that there are human rights groups working together to convince the countries arming the Israelis to stop the financial backing of this holocaust? It is fairly obvious that our country is seeing this as financially beneficial to Trump, the arms industry, etc. Is any work being done with AIPAC or ADL?
You shouldn’t have had to clarify that there has been no evidence presented by Israel to the UN that Hamas is, or ever was, using hospitals as command centers or that Hamas is or ever has been interfering with the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gazans. The doubters don’t appreciate inconvenient truths and most likely they see October 7th as an unprovoked act of terrorism rather than yes, an extremely violent act of resistance to years and years of egregious suffering at the hands of the Israeli government. A government that by the way, paid Hamas to keep the peace on the ‘strip’ for decades! Just like it continues to pay the Palestinian Authority to keep the peace in the West Bank. Rather than work toward the establishment of an independent Palestine State, as was outlined by the UN in 1948. And all with US nods, winks and blank checks. Most Americans are just now getting ‘woke’ to what’s been going on in both the West Bank and in Gaza since 1948. But not enough know the history surrounding the establishment of the state of Israel.
During Covid, when hospitals were pleading with the govt for respirators, PPEs and other supplies, Trump maintained that they didn’t really need them and that the medical staff was “diverting” the equipment to make a personal profit. As if!!! The Israeli policies and Trump’s accusations are all of a piece.
I just watched a video from Rachel Gilmore wherein doctors and nurses who have recently worked in Gaza hospitals gave eyewitness accounts of the brutal genocide being perpetuated by the Israeli government. It truly makes me sick. I want to cry but at the same time am so angry at Netanyahu and any governments that support him. The people of Gaza need a ceasefire NOW and this murderous Israeli regime all need to be charged with crimes against humanity. I hope they hang them! Please never stop speaking the truth! There are many good Jewish people who do not support this regime. They need to get louder!

1: Hamas is Palestinian hence, it is due aid.
2: How in the world do any of the nitwits think Hamas has been able to FEED ITS HOSTAGES?
3: If Israel truly cared about its abducted people it would deliver hostage food explicitly.
4: Hamas kept its hostages ALIVE for the last 20 months, feeding them, caring for them
medically- all the while going hungry themselves and suffering their own wounds.
