Many people are consumed with their everyday lives and troubles and aren't yet paying attention. We'll see how that changes over time.

Would you please explain more about the concentration camps they are sending immigrants to at Guantanamo Bay? I've been hearing that other presidents have done this, too, which is a horrible way to excuse Trump's use of them now. Is there anything I could tell someone who says this to let them know that not only is this a horrible argument because it's fucking deplorable, but also how he's using these camps is different this time, if applicable? Is it even legal and Constitutional? Thank you; I hope you and yours are safe and well!

What can we do about Salvador imprisonment if US citizens?

That seems like a red line one ad worthy of a lot more press/light

That’s extremely dangerous as the entity meant to protect citizens, the state dept, is the one condemning them.

I have contacted my Senators daily. I live in a red Congressional district and am pretty sure the tuned me out at my Rep's office.

We need bumper stickers and posters to carry. I am not going down without a fight!

Trump and his regime are attempting to create the biggest shithole country on the planet. America under Trump’s control is a vortex of corruption, hatred and sheer evil. And I have no doubt that his ambitions to be a dictator extend to far beyond US borders. He and his thug supporters are a threat to peace and humane treatment of people everywhere.

This is very sad indeed. I am so tired of the corporate media normalizing this. The battle is not lost, but it is getting pretty bleak.

Absolutely! I guess ratings mean more to them than accountability and freedom!

Please list the actual names of people and companies who are going to profit from Trumps schemes. It is not enough to just use a broad referral if we are to be effective in stopping plans.

There is an app called "Goods Unite Us" it lists if a company has donated to red (GOP) or blue (DEM) campaigns. If they support the Dems they most likely support democracy. It's been helpful for me. I know of the following companies that I personally am boycotting: META (Facebook, Instagram), Amazon (Amazon Prime, music, fire tv), Target (because of their recent DEI policy change), Walmart (because of DEI policy change), Wells Fargo bank, US Bank, Rite Aid, Pete's coffee, a lot of main stream media (for sanewashing this fascist nazi takeover of our country). Basically read substack, Reuters, and some independent journalists.

Some companies donate 50/50 which is fair I suppose because they are smartly hedging their bets. However, if they back the push to remove, and stifle civil rights, through DEI policies being removed to get in line with the maga cult and it's leader...I won't do business with them! There are ~75 mil of us who did not vote for 🍊🤡 if we all put our money with companies and businesses that support democratic policies and not this new fascist regime I think they'll notice! Hit them where it hurts! In their profits!

No one should roll over and accept this. We cannot accept any of this treatment towards ANY human being! Thanks for the article and again for action items.

Called and left a message for Vermont Rep. Balint who protested at the Treasury last night, and I am repeatedly dialing Senators whose lines are busy, but I'm sure I'll get through eventually.

In my message today, I have said/will say I'm calling to demand my reps and all of Congress PROTEST all 5 fascist acts and just read the top line of your #1-5 verbatim to try to make it fast but cover all the acts. Will also send a letter now to each rep.

Google your Senators. They have direct lines to their offices and each usually has several offices in their states. Talk to a Congressional aide. For Virginia in DC, Warner is (202)224-4023

and Kaine is (202) 224-4024

There's also this really cool app/website called five calls that will surface phone numbers for your local rep with scripts to talk to the important issues.

Thank you for your helpful response! Appreciate you reaching out, that was super cool of you! I did get through finally, was trying between their state and DC offices. I live in the small state of Vermont, a small state with a very loud voice! Luckily our reps encourage the phone calls, they love to hear from constituents, they are very responsive, and they encourage us to keep on trying when phones are busy. It is extremely rare that I have run into this, where lines are so flooded that I can't even get voicemail, as their offices are usually extremely accessible, all my reps check and clear messages frequently. Emailed letters to them while I was waiting and then finally got through! But yes, in a larger state or in a Republican state it can be exponentially much harder to access leaders! I do appreciate your helpful suggestions and support! Hope you are/were able to get contact with your leaders as well! Thanks again!
