Facebook Is Censoring My Content on Racial Justice
A reminder of why we cannot relent in our advocacy for human rights, and why your support to counter this censorship becomes increasingly important every single day.
A few months ago Meta removed my article on Israel and Palestine, and I received my first ever Meta warning for allegedly violating their anti-hate conduct. I wrote about that censorship here, pointing out that my reporting was explicitly in citing human rights law to criticize the acts of governments, and by no means violating the rights of any protected class of human beings. Human Rights Watch has blasted Meta for their bias and unwarranted censorship of articles calling for justice for Palestine.
Now, Meta is removing and stifling my content related to combatting racism and white supremacy. Meta’s censorship ant-racist content makes absolutely no sense, and we cannot let it go unaddressed. Let’s Address This.
I felt compelled to write this update because it is critical my readers know what we’re up against. In 2017, a detailed analysis by ProPublica of Facebook’s censorship rules found that:
The company’s hate-speech rules tend to favor elites and governments over grassroots activists and racial minorities. In so doing, they serve the business interests of the global company, which relies on national governments not to block its service to their citizens.
It seems that nothing has changed since. Given this unjust double standard, I am not surprised that Meta is censoring my content calling out white supremacy and racism. Facebook has provided no explanation on what anti-racist remark violated what community standard? Instead, as several of my supporters reported, Facebook repeatedly removed my content any time it was shared, all without explanation.
Below I share the video Facebook continues to censor and remove from its platform. As you watch this video, you’ll notice that my commentary is based in fact and history (and some comedy), and certainly not in any form of propaganda or demonization.
You’ll note that I cite America’s history of anti-Black, anti-Asian, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, and antisemitic discrimination—all to prove the point that such discrimination still exists today. And to prove that such discrimination won’t end unless we confront it directly. And Meta chose to restrict and prevent even that dialogue. Unfortunately, Facebook has a history of enabling genocide and censoring criticism of those committing genocide or engaging in racism. So it is no surprise that they are once again on the wrong side of history.
Ultimately this goes to why I launched Let’s Address This—to ensure I have a platform to advocate for human rights, media accountability, and meaningful justice without social media censorship. My ask of you is to support and subscribe if in your capacity. Let us continue to demand a future built on justice, compassion, and human rights. Thank you for your ongoing support and trust. You truly are making a difference.

zuck is a jew. go figure
Wow. I shouldn’t at all be surprised but I am so tired of social media not only tolerating but amplifying white supremacy and continually silencing marginalized communities. I just opened Facebook recently after about a six year hiatus and it’s just so maddening to see this. Shared your content.
