And they all should be handled as such- collaborators. The journalists who kept quiet to the lies and didn’t call out the injustices and atrocities-

You are complicit. You will be held accountable. We will not forget.

Corporate Media is dead and all that continues to work for them. You're not telling us the truth. Death to Corporate Media. Oh they killed themselves.

It seems I only read you and the things that come in on this substack feed. Lawrence O’Donnel hates Trump and I’m surprised he hasn’t been taken off of the air. Another one is Jim Acosta, Mehdi Hassan, and Don Lemon. I like Chris Hayes but I’ve caught him in some untruths. The New Republic, Mother Jones, The Guardian, Politico, and some that aren’t even heard of give in depth and scathing reporting of the situation here. It isn’t wrapped up in chocolate . It tells you what other countries think of us, and how our situation is affecting global politics and economics. Sorry if this is too verbose.

It isn’t just corporate media. Telecommunications companies are bowing to pressure and kissing trump’s ring also! It is shameful that this has happened! I am pissed off and as mad as hell!

The Maga Murder Bill just passed and mainstream media quotes a Republican Congressman who goes on about how wonderful the bill is why it has tax cuts in it. He neglects to mention that the tax cuts only help billionaires and they are paid for by starving children. That's why I'm subscribed to you, Robert Reich, Heather Cox Richardson, Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin etc. Lies from mainstream media.

They said it about Mamdani, but they REFUSE to say it about trump, the very obvious fascist. That tells us all we ever needed to know. Not ONE legacy media will level w the American people about the fascism that is HERE. It isn't knocking, it has already been invited in by Congress, the SC, and the legacy press. It's seated for dinner for chrissakes. Not ONE legacy media outlet will tell the people on the nightly news or the Sunday morning paper the truth about the damage. They will continue to clutch their pearls about tweets, both-sides the oppression of millions of people, and amplify hate against trans women and random college kids. They care about money. The rich own the media. They will never stand up against their rich buddies. This will ALWAYS come down to rich v poor. When are the "poor people gonna rise up and take what's theirs" (Tracy Chapman)? What are we waiting for?

💯 % agree. Corporate media has been white-washing and sane-washing the rise of felonpotus and fascism in the US for years, ever since Obama's presidency, and ramped up during Biden's. Why they want to become authoritarian state media is not hard to predict. Billionaire owners getting tax breaks, and contracts for their other businesses with the federal government for self-enrichment, are two reasons. Fear of not getting contracts, and left out of the grift, is the corollary. Becoming mouthpieces for tyranny is sensational and appealing to low information readers. A free press is not a priority; you may make more money as a propaganda machine. Look at faux "news" success with viewers. Truth and investigative reporting is problematic with a retribution dictator in charge of the country. Thank the universe for independent outlets. It's all we have for real reporting. For now....
