This is getting worse everyday. Why can't the Dems start action against that POS, convicted felon, for treason and crimes against humanity, and all his other illegal dealings? He has his nerve talking about Mamdani that way, but we have to realize trump is projecting what he himself is, onto a man who is 10,000 times smarter than trump and trump, in his jealousy, has to spit out whatever racial and bigoted comments he can. Now he wants to tie Church and State together, so he can make sure his White Supremacists are completely in charge of this country, and he is probably wanting to continue his dictatorship until he passes, which cannot be soon enough.

The number of dead in Gaza (58,000) will soon exceed US casualties in Vietnam (58,200).

US Population 1975: 216 million

Gaza Population: 2 million

Vietnam War with Large Scale US Military Involvement: 8 years

Hamas attack on Israelis: 21 months ago

Vietnam: 127,000 sq mi

Gaza: 140 sq mi

Since the start of the conflict in October 2023, there have been varying estimates regarding the number of Hamas fighters killed, wounded, and newly recruited. Some Israeli assessments in early 2025 indicated that Hamas's fighting force might be around 20,000, including newly recruited fighters and those who have survived the ongoing conflict. Other reports, citing US intelligence, suggest that Hamas has recruited between 10,000 and 15,000 fighters, offsetting losses suffered since October 2023. There are also claims that Hamas might have a total of 40,000 fighters, similar to the pre-October 2023 numbers.

The only thing I will say. People feel safety in numbers. Numbers of people with similar ideas, become a collective. When they get together they are then a mob. In observation of a mob, there is a spokesman leading said mob. A mob has no conscious. This is where we are heading today. In some places we are already there. Willful ignorance is an extremely dangerous thing, and much of our country is suffering from it, even our leaders.

Qasim, I read this yesterday and had to fully digest the despicable things I read here.

Hate is driven by fear. And by ignorance.

Why is it NOT okay to be "anti-semetic" but okay to be Islamaphobic? Or to be Trans-phobic or any other phobic?

We are supposed to be any evolved society but right now, we are being led - so to speak - by people who are just hateful, nasty people who resent & hate "the other".

There are words to describe how ashamed I am of our government & the people who have treated Muslims hatefully. I am glad that I found you on Sub-stack - you have opened my eyes...and many others eyes, I would suspect! Much love & respect to you!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻☮️☮️☮️

I've seen so many articles or social media posts about the rise in antisemtitism. Most, including most media thinks antisemitism is hate against people of jewish faith. But the word semitic relates to languages. Hebrew, but also arameic, Amharic and arabic. And almost no one is mentioning hate against arabs when they say antisemitism. Or hate against muslims in general. It should be said with the same breath. And most of it comes from the same demographic. But I have also experienced people on the left that blame jews for the genocide in Gaza. They don't make the distinction between being of jewish faith and being a zionist. Like Biden said (and I hated that) "You don't have to be a jew to be a zionist" (Although he might not fully understand Zionism). I have no problem with condeming zionism, christian nationalism, any act of terror or forcing religion on others (especially true for christian nationalists). But not condemning people for their faith.

I’ve had close friendships with Muslims for about 4 decades now. Honest, ethical, peace loving, compassionate people who are sisters and brothers of the heart to me. It’s seriously long past time to stop buying into the lies and hatred that get spread about Islam.

I just left this article and ran across Randy Fine’s tirade on the subject: a perfect example of spreading lies to get the support of people fond of religious bigotry. He can cast any pretense of statesmanship aside after that in my opinion.

Campaign finance control seems to be running in the background, and new candidates must be so strong to even break through the gauntlet. If any new pure voice in a campaign can show leadership overall, paralysis attacks them and unless they are very strong the corporates after the mocks, lower the standards - it keeps happening, never separating from evil. 2025 fundamentals being somewhat like Ice Suprema-cistics. Disney had it right- the Ice Queen reigns. Only if she learns how to be the hero will it stop being frozen.

I’m an American Muslim woman who’s frightened watching our democracy, our checks and balances in government, and our formerly brave Press, swirling around the drain. I’m 66 years old, and never imagined that I would have to be afraid to contribute to legitimate world relief agencies, all because they’re helping to feed “The Wrong People” who are starving. İf I did this now I’d fear being put on some government list they’re keeping. I no longer post any opinions on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media for fear of the same thing. The day I watched a Muslim woman being surrounded by unidentified masked men on the street and carted off to a place where no one who knew her could find her-my blood ran cold as ice. Her crime? She wrote an article in her university paper criticizing what was happening in Palestine. I don’t know if I can explain to anyone who isn’t currently in a group being villainized by the president and his sad followers, what its’s like to find myself afraid to speak my mind, or to write my thoughts. My father who’s been in this country since he was 28 (he’s now 96) is now scared for me to wear my headscarf in public. My husband, who is not yet a citizen and is also Muslim, is worried all the time about putting the wrong foot forward and finding himself deported even though he’s here on a legal visa. You can’t relax. And that’s just the Islamophobia and Xenophobia from the government, what about neighbors, or strangers you run into? They might also be ready to say what they feel to my face; it has happened before but now I find myself searching faces to see what’s looking back at me-acceptance or hatred.

Brave words Qasim. You are not alone, remember that. Trumps racist comments may appeal to his MAGA base but not to "normal" people. Keep the faith, any faith lol! Don't let the bastards grind you down because if you do they will never let you be whole again. Trumps days are numbered and after his sojourn in the highest office in the land won't matter a hill of beans to most people. Everybody want's to live free! Eventually even the MAGA base will put a sock in it when the stupid person in the WhiteHouse has gone. They've cried their last hurrah!

Help. I'm freaking out. I used to think NPR was okay to listen to. Uh...no. Today I caught one story there about how Dems are frightened by Mamdani. And, they pointed out, it was Muslim's who attacked the WTC. (MY cousin died there.) You see, NPR, I know that ALL MUSLIMS did not attack the WTC. Just as ALL JEWS are NOT Bibi Netanyahu. THEN, like I'm not already with my head on fire, NPR's chirpy little Political Analyst starts on a lively, excited story of how (drug addict, Nazi-saluting) Elon Musk is WOW!! starting a political party----this is sooo thrilling.

I have such a problem with this.

NPR is going downhill quickly. I rely on ProPublica, Zeteo, TN Hollar, and other independent media outlets. I'm hopeful folks see Let's Address This as a reliable source on human rights issues.

It's not a problem if you don't take it to heart. These morons can't carry on this way forever because they are morons! Musk and his ilk just want to make money and stupid people give it to him. He knows his cash cow is losing and he's also losing his mind just like trump he can't take the fact that he's a loser. His Tesla isn't performing to expectations. It keep crashing and doing other things, like accelerating without being led to and causing harm. Also the same for his rocket program. He's afraid he won't be able to leave the planet before he's shown up for the failure he is! Same for trump but his days are also numbered because he can't live forever, as much as he's liked to think that he can.

There should be laughter whenever the Seditionist & Convicted Felon/Rapist-Lover Party says anything derogatory at all. They are the only ones violating the Constitution and breaking law after law. These Felon-worshipers also own the microphone making their fellow incompetent duds look like a larger group than they are.

Complying with the Orange Felon/Seditionist is another illegitimate act that is not being recognized.

Mamdani will win. He will rejuvenate NYC. Then the MAGA clan will be begging for the same thing. Just as you see the MAGA shits in Texas begging for the help they voted out.

The old corporate Dems are also laughable thinking they are entitled to political positions instead of listening to the voting public. We’re sick of those mafia style scumbag politicians too.

Their days are over. They will never more pull support from those of us who see great promise in Mamdani, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Katie Porter, Eric Swalwell, Jamie Raskin, Greg Casar, Prayila Jayapal, Delia Ramirez, tireless Bernie Sanders, JB Pritzker, Tim Walz and more and all those who have held hearings and blasted the republican Fascists and told them they were incompetent to their faces!

I look forward to the demise of the Fascist filth in this country.

There's an epidemic of hate in this country. It is escalating against Muslims no doubt and we need to call it out and fight it. Thank you for always taking the lead. Other minorities are also in the cross hairs more so now than ever. An example from Native American Rights Fund: "Yesterday, pundit Ann Coulter stated on X (formerly Twitter) that “we didn’t kill enough Indians.” The post was shared more than a million times. As a writer and a lawyer, Coulter knows that words matter, especially for someone with her platform. Suggesting that Native Americans—whose communities and cultures persist and thrive despite the American government having systematically taken Native lands, children, religions, and lives—deserve to die or were not persecuted enough, is ignorant and immoral." We need to stand together against it as one.
