I am now living in the U.K., but these fascist policies affect me in a way because my late husband of 50 years was Mexican American. After he died 6 years ago, his younger sister and one of his nieces came and supported me through donating his clothes, tools and everything else. They helped me get rid of my own stuff, as well as readying our house for sale (I was already 79 years old at the time) and to move out, even letting me stay at my niece-in-law’s house while I arranged my return to the U.K. as I couldn’t afford to stay there, or to manage a house and a garden on my own.
They are still very dear to me, even though I left them to return to my hometown to spend some time with my brothers and their families. I had a video chat with them on Sunday (my sister-in-law lives in San Diego and my niece-in-law lives in LA county but was visiting her aunt) and they are as angry and afraid about djt’s evil, cruel regime as I am. They never go out without their passports or birth certificates and are always wary and conscious of their surroundings. I fear for them!
Your work is so important and if I still lived in the U.S., I’d definitely donate to your most worthy cause. We could use people like you in England too, these days! Thank you for all that you do.

You are telling something that me and some friends of mine has been saying since this stupid BS started they are definitely coming after the black and brown which they are already doing it, take a look at the list of people they have ripped apart the majority of them are from countries of people of color that don’t even need to be discussed anymore it’s already going on.

Second: My hope is that this Old White Bigot will face real consequences. But being a Floriduh bar member, perhaps that's unlikely. Florida bar won't investigate Pam Bondi or even Lindsay Halligan--"members in good standing...."

I am being deluged with requests from people I do not know in states I do not live in. I don’t know where they got my number because I have never released it. You will not share it will you? I’m very impressed with all you do. I’m old and I recognize a busybody when I see one. That judge obviously doesn’t have enough work to do while you have too much.
We in this country who support human rights for all can do much more than let a few activists like Qasim have to carry the full load of resistance against this fascist regime. We ALL need to also step up and join the fight!
